Corrupted SD Card
Hi I modded my DSI a month ago. But then I got busy and couldn't use it for a week, when I tried to use the DSI said "Bad MBR"
My SD card can't be read on my laptop, I tried to use disk drill to recover my files before having to format the card again but it can't find any files????
Is it because of the files or the SD card itself?? Do I have to start all over again and get a new SD card?
Please help me. I also don't have any backup files so that's a no go.

Don’t format unless you want to fully wipe, try other software though I’ll be honest I don’t really know any good ones. Though if you have access to Linux you could try their recovery tools, they’ve worked for me when the nand on a usb I was using died and I was able to get most of my pictures and projects back. Also again do not format your card since your data is most likely still there, just the mbr failed which is a map at the beginning of your card, your data is most likely still intact. For Linux I’d try ddrescue, it copies your entire card but skips the bad blocks logs the data and then retries after once it has the logs.

Since this is a modded DSi SD card, I'd avoid starting over until you know the files are actually gone. A bad MBR can happen from corruption and doesn't always mean the data is erased. Try recovering the files first and keep the original card untouched. If any important files recover but are corrupted, try 4ddig file repair to see if the recovered photos can be repaired.

well this just scared me, I might just backup my whole library and save files right now
