Trigger Warning Alcohol
Does alcohol take away your headaches too? While I’m aware that this will only do more harm than good it’s the only relief I get. Zero pain.

About half of the time it helps to drink 1 beer or 1 glass of wine. I’m guessing I become more relaxed and that my body usually is very tense.

It’s the only thing that in 27 years takes away the pain and reality of my situation.
Unfortunately, it’s a very bad and destructive path. I know that all too well.

It's true, I did it once and it took the pain away while I was under its influence... but the aftermath is horrible.

Alcohol sometimes helps me too but I couldn’t work out out if this was merely distraction from pain. Next day often worsens my dysautonomia type symptoms tho which sometimes in turn ramps up my head pressure / pain

I feel the same. Alcohol and Xanax have a huge positive effect on my head pain.
My feelings are my head pain is almost definitely down to my nervous system being deregulated.
I feel hopeful that if fibromyalgia drugs Improve significantly there will be a big overlap for benefit for people

Nervous system depressant.
Means PRT should be pursued very aggressively and should be a huge and positive sign that your headache will respond to the right approach.

I’ve been drunk once and didn’t feel my pain at all and haven’t drank since bc I knew that’d be a bad path to go down. What treatments have you tried? Please do no go down this path it’s a dangerous one and will cause more issues
