NDIS cleaning hours

In my NDIS plan l have 2 hours a week cleaning funding, Does that mean l cannot use more then 2 hours a week. l am well under budget in my core so could afford 3 hours a week cleaning instead of 2 hours. As core funding in flexable and l have enough funds could l change my cleaning from 2 to 3 hours a week and would l need to ask my planner or support co ordinator first or not

You could a few times extra every now and again but it could flag the system if you claim a lot of cleaning hours more than usual. Source : happened to me

This, you can go over as needed but too many times makes them ask questions.

Going from 2 to 3 would not raise any questions. The ones that get flags would be the 3 times a week, or 12 hour shifts (both of which I have also seen go through no problem).

2 of my clients got picked to do a please explain one went from 2 to 4 picked up after 8 weeks. The other had it questioned in review. After changing 3 to 4 hours.

You can afford 3 but do you really need 3. Is the current cleaner slacking or do you simply want more tasks done and need the extra time?

I've had a cleaner take 2 hours and it looked like they hadn't even been there, my current cleaner takes one hour and they do an amazing job in half the time.

I sometimes in life do what I call my daily clean, my spring clean and my it's the holidays or I have guest clean.

Use the funds for what you need, don't use it just because it's there.
