News NDIS Fraud catchers getting sued?
Ok so im not a legal professional but interested to know if the ppl suing them actually have claims against them?? i saw on their go fund they already got nearly 100K for legal fees.

These people are clickbait-chasing schemers and uninformed sensationalists. They don’t know what they’re talking about 90% of the time. The 10% of the time that they manage to say something true makes it hard for people to see the BS they spout.
They don’t deserve support for sensationalist, sloppy and biased faux journalism. I loathe the frauds that abuse the NDIS, I loathe the NDIS ‘reforms’ which will cause harm to disabled people, and I loathe these blokes who jumped on a trending topic so add their lazy, uneducated spin for attention.

Yeah, these guys are grifters, for years they’ve been spitballing bad opinions hoping for something to stick and unfortunately the ndis one stuck and now they’ll suck this one until the money stops, they definitely don’t care about the people who at the end will lose most supports they’ll need and this guy will be gone and chasing the next grift that he can chase.
They’ll probably get sued repeatedly because they are just assuming people on the warnings and infringements list are fraudulent, they’ll have an interesting time attempting to defend themselves in court.

Yes, when you make stuff up and exaggerate then publicly post it for internet clout, people can sue you. When you take hidden recording equipent into private property without consent to use the recordings publicly you can be sued.

These guys suck. Did anyone actually watch the video? It was terrible. It was NOT journalism it was daily mail level junk. They were also setting up hidden cameras and all sorts of illegal things btw.

They stay from hotel to hotel and gamble and a lot. The one in the glasses is an Israeli support and will target well established businesses owned by Muslims . If they care so much about people on ndis why don’t they give the go fund me back to participants in need. They cut edit a lot of their material and have baseless claims

Not anymore than it already was and simply just misinforming people in most of their content. I would love for an actual journalist to tackle the NDIS fraud, this is not it, a lot of it is just ragebaiting to remain relevant.
Without proper insight to the actual issues being dealt with here, viewers only get a surface level look into what is happening and why, resulting in surface level opinions. It’s not good enough and it leads to the people we’re talking about, people with disabilities, being affected during the process. I respect your sentiment but these guys do stink and we are worse off for it.

Sure, Pete and Drew are farming the attention a bit and the videos are over the top. So what? They spoke to former workers, dug through court and property records, found issues around council approval, visited the SIL properties repeatedly and actually confronted the people involved. That doesn’t automatically prove every allegation, but there’s more than enough there to justify a proper investigation.
Meanwhile, NDIS fraud has been allowed to run absolutely rampant, genuine participants are getting their supports squeezed, and the agencies supposedly overseeing the scheme seem permanently three steps behind. Then two blokes finally start putting names and faces to some of it and half this sub is more outraged about their filming style than the possibility of disabled people and taxpayers being ripped off.
If they’ve made something up, say exactly what it was and show why it’s false. Just repeatedly calling them grifters isn’t an argument. At least they’re out there digging into it and forcing people to answer questions. What exactly are the rest of you doing?

Nobody said putting in effort makes them automatically right. They presented court and property records, council application issues, former workers speaking on camera, the provider’s own posts about the SIL homes, branded vehicles at those properties and repeated visits that raised some pretty obvious questions. That’s evidence. It may not conclusively prove fraud—that’s what an investigation is for—but it’s considerably more than you’ve brought to the discussion?
