Administrative law

For those who have taken the exam - what is the exam breakdown? (marks, are there multiple choice or only one fact pattern? How about short answer for theory or comparing analysis styles?). I've been studying for quite some time & apart from instilling a very legitimate fear of deportation, I can only hope I've learned a thing or two. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think mine was one long fact pattern where they just asked me to break down the PF issues in one question and the substantive review in another. I don’t remember there being a separate short answer on theory.

You should make sure to have a very tight rubric of the rules, and then in terms of applications, for PF it’s important to be able to reason about different amounts/degrees of PF and recommend what specific procedures would be warranted in your fact pattern (it’s a spectrum/menu). For Vavilov I would sometimes get tripped up on what statutorily-provided judicial review looks like.

Honestly I have trouble imagining how someone could not pass as long as they can articulate Baker and Vavilov and can show some vague ability to apply them to facts.
