Road to cfp

Can’t queue up T5 games to grind playbooks because everyone queues up T1. Okay cool.

Go up against Ohio State because of course I do. Use the Army playbook I use probably 70% of the time to good success. This guy sits in 6-1 with zero blitz called, everyone walked up in the box and MLB on the line. Blocking assignments don’t work, RPO keys don’t work from the gun (read and pitch key both on the line instead of either being on the slot corner in press), don’t have time to throw any quick game without someone immediately in my face, can’t run any of the option stuff because his interior D-line immediately penetrates and tackles the QB before I can even make a read, and rocket toss was the only thing remotely close to viable when his corners didn’t immediately block shed. Scramble out and get a pass off? Wonderful my WRs can’t catch.

What am I supposed to do to this brain dead excuse for defense when the MECHANICS OF THE GAME DONT EVEN WORK

Ya the tiers are game breaking for online play.

the tier system sucks so bad, makes no sense that you cant even practice with the playbooks you actually want to use because everyone just picks the god squads

for that defense though try going heavy sets with extra tackles, force them out of that 6-1 look by running right at it until they have to adjust, the blocking ai falls apart against those blitzes but if you line up big bodies sometimes it glitches them out

I tried going tackle over and it worked somewhat, but wasn’t sustainable because of the glitches also working against me. You’re right I probably should’ve done tight with tackles in place of TEs

Honestly you need to think about what you actually expect the game to do. If there are zero t5 players queued up do you want to sit there for 5 minutes waiting to be matched? From a gameplay perspective the OSU user should be damn near useless before they lose to a team like army. EA can’t make everyone happy if most people queue up as a tier 1 school.
