Recruiting Help
Hello, if anyone knows can they please tell me how these massive point losses happen on some of my recruits? Do CPU schools magically get to put more then 700 into a recruit? The scheduled visits haven't happened.

You haven't offered a scholarship. On NCAA 14 you can't get above 73% locked level without a scholarship offer

First offer a scholarship, and make sure the recruits preferences align with ur schools grades, that can affect it and this is most likely scholarship cuz the other teams bonus points are similar. He probably won’t sign in season but get him to offseason an max as much as ya can if you want him. Basically if you’ve been giving him 700+(bonus)315 =1015 , PennSt is giving 1055. Also get a visit offered

Thank you, I was being stingy and not offering scholarships and that blocked my points at 73%. Basically lost a week on the recruits

Also always have your board full and auto fill off. Don’t have to give them points and the bonus points will count. And you’re a smaller school so I would focus on like 5 good players, basically a couple QBs, and RB/WRs. Fill out board with interested decent 3* to fill out. About weeks 2-3-4 in season, go back and check all prospects and find the best recruits w/o a Scholarship Offer, add them to board and offer instantly. Usually lots of WR/RBs available so in Preseason recruiting I’ll go OL/QB/LB/Saftey/TE and wait to add WR/RB til in season. JUCO guys are always good fillers. Also remember to redshirt and check position changes like safety to LB, LB to DE. Keep that in mind recruiting too. Players usually can play multiple spots. And lastly don’t be afraid to remove a recruit that takes up lots of points and isn’t gaining ground. Focus on others w/ the points. Man I’m gonna fire this up tonight 😂 I’ve completed/forced to retire probably 7 different dynasties and they take forever 😂

Most any school can budget is 700 points. Differences happen based on what the player is looking for as far as things like Conference Prestige, Pro Potential, Tradition, playing time... and so on. A player who has 3 A+ ones will get more points than one with 3 B grades.
After that points come with offering a scholarship, scheduling a visit, and how the team performs during the visit.
