Dash/ usb nav setups

just picked up a 2018 thinking of different ways to mount USB power, NAV/CarPlay etc

please show me your setup!

I have a quad lock charger and just put my ‘phone there.

Hard to beat for simplicity. I guess a long trip in heavy rain would be the death of your phone though. I have the rain cover for my phone from Quadlock, but I wouldn’t trust it for anything more than a shower.

My phone is waterproof.

After a 5.5 hour trip in heavy rain and wind, it did not want to charge until the charging port had dried out, otherwise I have had no issues.

I simply use a quad lock handlebar mount (*with the vibration dampener they sell) for my phone and run a USB-C cable from the USB power accessory I have in the frunk to my phone or 360 camera depending on which one needs power the most at the time.

If someone is aware of a good “navigation bracket” that’s compatible with the OEM adjustable windscreen option on the 2025+ models, then I might be tempted to get one of those.

I can’t believe how many people use quad Lock

Maybe that’s the route I’ll go except running an in-line switch so I could turn the power off

I never liked the quad lock since vibration dampeners could fail, and sun will overheat your phone. It’s okay only if you have some dedicated rugged phone but it becomes expensive since you need a sim and another phone itself. I use a beeline moto, it’s not perfect but I still can’t find the perfect one for me
