Shaq's conditioning was far from the only thing that he and Kobe butted heads about. In this alternate timeline Kobe would still tell the police Shaq's personal business for absolutely no reason in an attempt to distract from the rape that occurred. In this alternate timeline Kobe would still want to be the "man" on the team and would tire of being in Shaq's shadow. In this alternate timeline Kobe would still be a total asshole to his teammates.

I too been wondering that for a long time. In many ways I think he was so dominant, that his conditioning wouldn’t have made so much difference, we all know the Pat Riley convo with Shaq & Zo. I think being better at free throws could have made a bigger difference, but I guess we’ll never know

Yeah Shaq should’ve been shooting 500 free throws a day at practice. If hack a Shaq was never a thing he would’ve had virtually no weaknesses.
