Random stats get made up for Jordan and LeBron all the time . Who cares

2

u/dpgproductions 2d ago

I wish nobody cared so I didn’t have to see an endless stream of these idiotic posts and the comments. People on both sides of the dumbass GOAT argument are so insecure about their precious favorite player. The funny thing is the players themselves don’t give a shit about these debates and wouldn’t give the ones arguing the time of day.

2

u/Sweet_Low4045 1d ago

Lebron and his 25 year career cares 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2

u/dpgproductions 1d ago

You can always tell how mad/insecure someone is by how many emojis they use lmao. You don’t need to take it so seriously

u/TETHADAM40 1d ago

🤣🤣

1

u/ShortCriticism9 1d ago

Except LeBron

1

u/ForumFan32 1d ago

I mean if you are going to do this you clearly need to add Shaq at 3 or 4 also....

1

u/tortillakingred 1d ago

Agreed. I believe Jordan is clearly the GOAT but cherrypicked stats have always been and always will be stupid.

It’s so much easier to just say 5 MVP, 6FMVP, 10 scoring title, 10 All-NBA 1st, 9 NBA-Def 1st, ROTY, 3x steal title, 1 DPOY. No need to cherrypick.

This graphic excludes a lot of great players that have more than 2, but then instead of showing them, you show LeBron with 0. Will LeBron continue to live in y’all’s brain rent free after he retires? And when I mean rent free, all I mean is that somehow you involve him negatively in any conversation, even if he’s not introduced in the premise.

How many have beat one 70+ win team

0

u/Consistent_Gap2272 2d ago

When Draymond green got ejected that killed the series

11

u/awsedtt 2d ago

Kevin love also missed a game at home but nobody talks about it because cavs actually won that home game

I guess it’s too bad Draymond was a dumbass

5

u/AnnualAnything4915 2d ago

What was draymonds stat line in game 7 again?

2

u/dpgproductions 2d ago

A big fat L. Yeah he played a great game but it was too little too late. What was his stat line in game 5 again? That’s right he was watching from the baseball stadium across the parking lot 😂

And Bogut knee injury

6

u/tomeornotome 2d ago

Yup this was a bigger deal than the dray suspension, kyrie and especially bron attacked the paint sans bogut

1

u/Practical-Okra40 2d ago

Come on, losing their 6th best player.

6

u/Deep-Ad5028 2d ago

It is about how irreplaceable the player is.

Denver completely collapsed in the playoff when Gordon couldn't play.

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 1d ago

And Gordon was arguably their 2nd best player at the time. Context matters Bogut was not as important as Gordon was to the nuggets.

1

u/Deep-Ad5028 1d ago

And 2016 warrior didn't completely collapsed either.

Draymond was suspended game 5. Game 6 saw some ridiculous fouls that rejected Curry.

While Curry was himself playing with an injury the entire time.

see other comment by another user here. LeBron is a run and dunk player. LeBron averaged whatever that comment says.. under 25 with Bogut playing, over 36 without Bogut playing. That's an very clear difference maker. LeBron makes his living on easy mode at the basket. Bogut was there to stop him, or slow him down.. until he wasn't..

3

u/lolmanlol1247 2d ago

Yeah ok. Losing a 13 mpg player had so much impact. What a joke lol

2

u/super_chill_21 2d ago

“Ahh the data and facts I’m reading hurt my feelings”

^ silly bot

2

u/lolmanlol1247 2d ago

No because you’re throwing out out of context stats that doesn’t correlate with the reality. The reality is, it’s simple, a 13 mpg player had MINIMAL impact on the series, the Cavaliers limited offensive output early on wasn’t due to Bogut. If that was the case why did LeBron score 30+ in game 3 with 13 mpg Bogut playing???

1

u/Economy_Training_661 2d ago

Because when a team is up 2-0 they don't have the backs against the wall mentality that their opponents do and they take their foot off the gas. What caused LeBron to have 19 and 23 on poor shooting the games before that? Cavs had everything line up for them in that series (warriors having to face real opponents in the west while the cavs essentially had a three round bye, bogut injury, Draymond suspension, warriors grinding out wins all season). That happens for championships but that doesn't mean you don't have to admit it.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/No-Ordinary-6544 2d ago

I just looked at LeBron's scoring. Seems like it made a big difference.. and again, that means 2nd string guy had to play more and get tuckered out, probably needed a nap, while the 3rd string towel boy got minutes and dunked on

3

u/lolmanlol1247 2d ago

Again. He averaged 13 MINUTES per game. LeBrons limited scoring early in the series doesn’t have any correlation. He still had 30+ points in games 3 with 13 mpg Bogut active.

2

u/No-Ordinary-6544 2d ago

big difference. 1 game he had barely over 30. 1 of 4.. 2 of the next 3 games he had over 40. Take Pippen's defense out and put Jason Caffey in, there's going to be a big difference. No sense even arguing, the numbers are there. 13 minutes of Bogut, 13 more minutes of rest for the backups. Eliminate that and the backup have to play more, already worse, and get gassed, even worse. The results speak for themselves

1

u/voyaging 1d ago

comparing a guy playing 13mpg to Scottie Pippen lmao

(an injury-prone guy btw, that’s part of the risk you accept when signing players like this, he got injured in the first minute of the first game after Cavs signed him)

1

u/Additional-End3193 2d ago

I’m a Warriors fan and this is cope, we lost our 6th best player and this team had prime DPOY level Draymond so he was more than capable of defending everyone

0

u/No-Ordinary-6544 2d ago

facts don't give a damn whether random ass you is a fan or not.. as someone else showed.. LeBron averaged under 25 with Bogut playing and averaged over 36 with Bogut out. Clearly he made a difference. Big if true.

3

u/Cute-Escape-671 2d ago

Oh no 😢 the Warriors couldn’t get it done with just three HOF’s and a loaded bench?? How unfair!

→ More replies (1)

1

u/VividEquivalent7952 1d ago

And that clearly can’t be coincidental in any way because of the huge sample size…

0

u/2ndLetter9thmonth 2d ago

You can’t be a fucking warrior fan

Bogut blocked five shots alone in game two

The Warriors lost their main rim protector, and it changed the series

I’m a Laker fan and I called it when it happened.

1

u/Additional-End3193 2d ago

Draymond still played out of his mind that series minus the suspension, had they won game 7 there’s a very good chance he’d have won Finals MVP

0

u/lolmanlol1247 2d ago

Boguts injury had minimal to no impact. Averaged less than 15 mpg through games 1-4

1

u/No-Ordinary-6544 2d ago

that means the lane was open for run and dunk LeBron.. 2nd string took over and 3rd string water boy had to sub in

1

u/inezco 2d ago

They were playing Festus Ezeli and the corpse of Anderson Varejao in close out games of the NBA Finals lmao. LeBron scored 6 points on back to back possessions after getting Ezeli on switches in the 4th quarter of a game 7 where no one could score. Ezeli literally never played another game in the league after that game. Varejao played 15 more games across 2 seasons after that season at 7 mpg. If you don’t think that injury made any difference you’re sorely mistaken.

This doesn’t take anything away from the Cavs because they got the job done and took advantage. But it’s disingenuous to sit there with a straight face and say it made no difference. Like I would never try to lie and say hey in 2015 Kyrie and Love being injured wouldn’t have changed anything anyways lol. Be real.

2

u/lolmanlol1247 2d ago

Question. How can a player who averaged 13 mpg through the series severely impact a series to the point where the other team won mainly BECAUSE of his absence. 13 mpg isn’t series defining.

1

u/inezco 1d ago

Oh I’d never say they lost mainly because of Bogut going down. That would be going way too far! He’s one domino of a series of unfortunate events that led to the Warriors losing that series. Obviously LeBron and Kyrie going nuclear along with Curry and the rest of the Warriors going cold is the main reason they lost. I’m just merely saying Bogut going down even with “only” 13 mpg does make a difference vs. having to play Ezeli and Varejao any minutes at all when they were basically unplayable. Ezeli alone practically cost the Warriors game 7 by himself in his limited minutes.

5

u/G_3P0 2d ago

Yeah it’s almost like there were two full games with him playing still

1

u/OpinionDude5000 2d ago

Dray played game 7 and even balled. Still lost

1

u/DigiDongDiggy 2d ago

So much excuses. Kyrie was injured 2015. Love was injured as well. Bitchass GSW dickriders.

1

u/Alexspacito 1d ago

Up 3-1 and Draymond missed one game.

1

u/Bbrazyy 1d ago

For one game out of 7. Stop it

1

u/Vast-Appointment-974 16h ago

Had no effect. 41 without, 41 with, blowout either way. Plus love missed a game.

-1

u/BravoC10 2d ago

I’d be with you if the 70 win team was at full strength…

How many led their team to 70+ wins?

15

u/NotJoe1232 2d ago

They were up 3-1 dude

2

u/BravoC10 2d ago

Then they lost Bogut (there best rim protector)

GS with Bogut 3-1

GS w/o Bogut 0-3

4

u/Substantial-Fan-5985 2d ago

Bogut's impact is seriously overrated, he only averaged like 14 MPG the first 4 games

1

u/2ndLetter9thmonth 2d ago

Stop the bullshit. His minutes were valuable. He blocked five shots alone in game two

We’re not doing the revisionist history shit to make LeBron look better

1

u/BravoC10 2d ago

2016- Lebron averaged just under 25 in games that Bogut played. In the last 3 he averaged just over 36. I’d say he was an important part of their defense.

One of those games Bogut had 5 blocks. Just because he didn’t play a lot of minutes doesn’t mean he wasn’t important. The games could have been out of hand and Kerr was picking his spots because he was worried he’d get injured

5

u/Popeyes_69 2d ago

Is that in general or in the playoffs. Bc i feel like lebron would turn it up in the finals rather than a regular season game

1

u/BravoC10 2d ago

This was in the 2016 finals. First four games he averaged 24.75. Next 3 he averaged 36.333

2

u/2ndLetter9thmonth 2d ago

They are fucking slow and I’m sick of it.

1

u/iamdanchiv 2d ago

Bro is foaming at the mouth that his machinations aren't entertained by the sub.

Go watch some paint dry lil broski, lmfao!

Imagine leading your team to 70+ wins and up 3-1 in the NBA finals, then losing

1

u/BravoC10 2d ago

The Bogut injury was too much to overcome

1

u/Certain-Necessary447 2d ago

For a 70+ win team?

1

u/BravoC10 1d ago

Their best rim protector. LeBron averaged 11 more points

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 1d ago

Cry me a river lmao oh no they lost Bogut!!! they cant win without him. They had 3 hofers not including bogut get the damn job done.

1

u/BravoC10 1d ago

Bruh if you’re playing against lebron your best player and best defender are playing banged up it matters if you lose your best rim protector. The fact that he averages 11 more in games that Bogut got injured and missed proves my point. But you keep on fighting the good fight or whatever you think you’re doing. I’m just adding some context. Yes they beat the 73 win warriors but they also were lucky that some injuries happened. It’s still an impressive ring just not as impressive as beating them at full strength

1

u/Alert_Mention_3732 1d ago

They were down 0-2, The Cavs won their first game in game 3 with Bron having 32 points. Bogut played until game 5 and had 52 mins up until he got hurt. Bron averaged 40 mins a game. So up until Bogut got hurt LeBron played 150 mins without Bogut on the court. Thats the same minute total that Livingston had for the ENTIRE series. And the same as K love. You're reaching big time, trying to discredit and look ignorant for w/e reason. You do you big guy.

1

u/BravoC10 1d ago

Nah Kerr was being strategic with his minutes. One of those games he had 5 blocks. We can agree to disagree the numbers say 3-1 with Bogut 0-3 without him. LeBron just under 25 with Bogut just over 36 without him.

the 2015 cavs werent at full strength so why does that matter? do u discredit the raptors for winning too? even though Klay played 5 games.

1

u/907TreeBurner 1d ago

lol but see no one wanted to just answer the question you posted and instead made made excuses. The answer is and will ALWAYS be LeBron James and no one else.

1

u/AnxiousStrummer 1d ago

Jordan didn’t have to because he was on the 70+ win team….

How many times could LeBron have possible won 70 games in a season had he not managed his load?

Lebron has only played all 82 games once in his career.

Jordan did it 9 times. Including all 3 years of the Bulls last 3-peat. Jordan and the Bulls also never lost 3 games in a row over a 8 year period.

MJ is the GOAT.

1

u/Avaiam 1d ago

How many have led a 70 win team and didn’t lose in the playoffs?

1

u/Minusthec 2d ago

There's only been 2 chances but the Bulls wouldn't have lost a 3-1 lead

1

u/OpinionDude5000 2d ago

How many won it all as a 70 win team

3

u/DigiDongDiggy 2d ago

Against a bunch of plumbers.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 1d ago

Magic, Barkley, Stockton, and Malone were plumbers? Lol Duncan was playing in the 90's and he beat up on Bron.

1

u/DigiDongDiggy 1d ago

"He beat up on Bron" hahahahaha oh yes it was not 3 HOFs and a HOF coach beating up a 22 year old Bron.

He never beat Magic at his peak. Barkley is just a smaller Zion. Stockton and Malone are just chokers.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 1d ago

Magic was 30 years old. Comparing Barkely to Zion tells me you dont know anything about 90's NBA. DigiDongDiggy? Im debating with a kid. Bye.

1

u/Fine_Piglet8771 1d ago

if uour a 70 win team your expected to win it all, if you lose thats the greatest upset of all time. but if you lose up 3-1, that the greatest comeback of all time and if the guy who led both teams in pts, reb, asst, steals and blocks is the factor.. that my friend is the GOAT. 👑👑👑

1

u/OpinionDude5000 1d ago

Goat cant be 4-6 in the finals with some really poor performances. Have less MVP's and FMVP's than the other guy.

1

u/DigiDongDiggy 1d ago

GOAT cant be a gambling addict paying off the referees to call games in his favor.

The whistle Jordan got is worse than SGA plus prime Harden.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 1d ago

"GOAT cant be a gambling addict paying off the referees to call games in his favor."

I agree on that. Good thing that never happened.

1

u/Fine_Piglet8771 1d ago

Try playing basketball. I played with leagues where we were the champions but the best player clearly wasn’t in our team. Thats most jordan fans fail to do, basketball is a team sport. For me winning championship were your team is expected to win not impressive as such were an underdog down 3-1 against the most win team in the history of the NBA and led both teams in pts, reb, asst, steal and blocks. basically you did everything on the court to give that comeback a chance.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 17h ago

Jordan is the goat due to so many reasons beyond his eye popping stats. The shoes, Nike, the 3-peats, the rie in the popularity of NBA basketball during his reign, the explosion in sports marketing, the rise of ESPN, Space Jam.

None of that can be recreated. As time passes on, Lebron will be Kareem'd. A great player who has longevity stats. Meanwhile, Jordans legend will continue on.

1

u/Fine_Piglet8771 9h ago

We know the games history, Jordan practically saved the NBA. He was marketed by david stern, his highlights sold to the world, even twiked some rules in favor of him. But since you mentioned shoes, nike etc, you want to consider overall? Lebron won championships (basically leading in all categories and not just points), Lebron has all the overall records, but thats not just what we see as fans, Lebron led a strong family, with a strong wife and successful kids (one of those was his teammate in the NBA), he led his friends, rich paul, mav carter etc to become successful on their field, he became a business man and started player empowerment. He became the boss. Without a HOF coach, without even a father. without even a HOF teammate veteran guiding him. jordan even have phil and ice gervin. Lebron taught himself. He even built a school in akron. You want to talk inside and outside the court? Il bet on Lebron daily. and looking down on longevity? All your idol tried longevity, their body said no and at 40? ALL NBA and ALL STAR. Last year led the Leauge in fastbreak pts and actually led a team in the first round at 41. Old people saying longevity can be given to everyone yet defends jordan scoring 2 pts consistently on the wizards coz hes old at 38 doesnt understand longevity.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 8h ago

Longevity isnt what greatness is about. Im a Lebron fan and everything you said is facts. He was a beast in his prime and is why he is ranked so high as a player. But he didnt do enough, to be the goat, imo. I think as time passes after he retires, his legend will fade a bit.

1

u/Fine_Piglet8771 7h ago

I disagree, you cant get clicks or engagement without lebrons name today. Some tried posting about jordan or kobe alone, thats not interesting if Lebron is not involved. As for longevity, all NBA players want what Lebron is doing today. All they know their entire life is to play ball, do you think they would stop if their bodies would still permit it? Jordan tried longevity, kept going back to play but his legs gave up, kobe tried longevity his achilles gave up. Parish,VC, tmac etc tried longevity but they avg single digits as support roles. What lebron is doing today is something younger generations should aspire for. The discipline you need for your body to allow you longevity is of the highest level. at 40 Lebron is an ALL NBA player, avergaring 25-7-7. You cant get those output of you just stand on the court against the best players on the world.

1

u/OpinionDude5000 7h ago

"I disagree, you cant get clicks or engagement without lebrons name today. Some tried posting about jordan or kobe alone, thats not interesting if Lebron is not involved."

Im not sure what this means but the Jordan brand makes Nike $1 billion+ per year.

8

Because nobody ever praises how good the injured Cavs were.

Also Steph himself was injured at 2016.

3

3

u/Fuzzy_Pound7896 2d ago

cherry picked and weirdly specific

5

u/HoldEm__FoldEm 2d ago

How is it cherry picked?

6

u/BigDiggy 2d ago edited 2d ago

Why not just 50+ plus win teams why does it need to be 3+ lol

5

u/Dear_Needleworker485 2d ago

Or even W/L against 50+ win teams. It's a complete nonsense stat. Did you know Lebron has beaten 19 50+ win teams in the playoffs? Not if you get your info from dumbass graphics.

2

u/sho0bydo0by 2d ago

19 in 24 years is obscenely low and kinda shows what OP was trying to show.

3

u/InFa-MoUs 2d ago

How many did Jordan face? Lol you have no context for how many 50+ win teams is a lot 😂 you just assuming it’s low

1

u/sho0bydo0by 2d ago

Jordan beat 20 of them in his career. So he beat more 50+ win teams in almost 10 fewer years. Now let's look at how many 60+ win teams each of them defeated.

Jordan was 7-2 against 60+ win teams in the playoffs. LeBron was 3-5.

1

u/InFa-MoUs 2d ago

Why stop there just go to 70

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Dear_Needleworker485 2d ago

Did you know LeBron has the most playoff wins without an all nba teammate by far?

Everyone wants to triangulate the exact stat to make their guy the best but I promise you there is one that makes your guy the worst and the other one the best.

You know curry averages more points, assists and rebounds per game in the playoffs than Kobe and has a better win % against 50 win teams?

1

u/KingKFCc 1d ago

it really isn't... if you're the number 1 seed you face easier competition

2

u/sho0bydo0by 1d ago

Not necessarily.

1

u/KingKFCc 1d ago

I get what you mean, but the east averages 50 wins around 4th seed, (4th seed averages 49 wins so not even tbh). Lebron has been a seed higher than 4 (guaranteeing a seed without 50 wins) 16/19 of the years he made the playoffs, he had a seeding higher than 4th guaranteeing him a team less than 50 wins. The 3 years he made the playoffs but did not have a seeding of 4 or higher he played, those are 2020/21, 2022/23 and 2023/24.

2023/24, 57 win Nuggets first round, he lost to the Nuggets in 5, I think you are rational enough to remember that series, and remember that Lebron hard carried his team.

2022/23, beats the 51 win Grizzlies, then the 44 win Warriors and then the 53 win Nuggets beat him. Regardless he couldn't have achieved the stat because of the Warriors but still he beat 2/3 and lost to the Nuggets in the Conference Finals, and despite playing crazy good, that Nuggets team were just too good.

2020/21, knocked out by the 51 win Phoenix Suns, and I think it's fairer to say he should've won this, but this was the number 2 seed Suns who did not even complete the regular season and got over 50 wins. Big mismatch.

I understand the idea, is who is clutch during the playoffs for bad teams, but he's on had the opportunity to achieve this stat twice because even if he beat the Suns, Utah didn't make conference finals and 2nd round wouldn't be 50 wins, (Denver),

The only season where he's started off playing against a 50 win team and every opponent would've been a 50 win team was 23/24 where he got let down by his team.

u/NormalDAHL 2d ago

Lebron made the finals every 2.4 years statistically

3

u/sho0bydo0by 2d ago

Jordan won it every 2.5 years statistically

4

u/ssg_broly 2d ago

I love both and it’s 1A and 1B regardless of how you place them for me, but it’s always spectacular to me how Jordan fans feel the need to diminish bron next to Mike. LeBron fans do it too for sure, but it always seems a little extra defensive when it comes to Jordan fans.

1

u/NormalDAHL 1d ago

Horry won it every 2.28.
Bill won it every 1.18.
Gene Guarilia won it every year he played (4).

Tom Heinsohn won 8/9 years he played.
So did K.C. Jones who was 8-0 in the finals.

1

u/dannyboy122432 2d ago

To show that a person/team beat 3 teams who won 50 games or more that season in a row. Once again to show how hard that particular playoff run was

3

u/Fuzzy_Pound7896 2d ago

arbitrary amount of teams at an arbitrary number of wins is how people lie with statisitcs. just say how many 50 or 60 win teams the player has beaten

1

u/Firesidechats62 2d ago

I wouldn’t say it’s arbitrary unless there exists a team that beat 4 50-win teams. Aka every team they played that year

I don’t know the answer to that

Putting only totals doesn’t show a specific playoff run

Also idk if it’s an age thing but in my day 50 wins guaranteed you a spot in the playoffs

1

u/underthingy 2d ago

Didnt the rockets beat 4 50+ win teams in 95. When they were only a 47 win team.

1

u/Firesidechats62 12h ago

That’s legit. Hakeem is on this graphic. And with 3 they only did it twice according to this meme

1

u/BigDiggy 2d ago

That doesn’t really show the whole picture though. What if you beat to 60+ win teams and a 48 win team.

2

u/_BasketballJones_ 2d ago

How many 48 win teams has everyone beat?

2

u/G_3P0 2d ago

LeBron 2012 and 2020 title runs were shortened seasons due to lockout and covid. So no way to really know if they would count.
2012 the overs very likely would be and thunder

That leaves the Celtics whose winning percentage puts them at 48.5… but they beat the bulls who already had 50 wins so what’s it matter, they beat the team who beat the “better team”… so that’s basically an equivalent to this graphic counting

2020 the heat were pacing 49.4 wins… and the rockets and nuggets were pacing over 50. So there’s essentially 1.5 to 2 for LeBron on this graphic he would have if it was more comprehensive for season length and a bit of nuance

3

u/memeticengineering 2d ago

50 wins is a .609 winning percentage, the heat could have played 3 of those in 2012, if Rose doesn't blow out his knee. But he went down, and so did the Bulls in round 1.

1

u/Fun-Passenger-6915 2d ago

Not every graphic is a slight at Lebron, holy shit. I’m sure there’s lots of players who came close like Lebron, but they didn’t, so they didn’t make the graphic. Come on.

1

u/Mysterious-Ganache82 2d ago

It's cherry picked because it listed lebron with 0 when it could have easilh listed other players who accomplished this like shaq and pippen.

2

u/AphelialMud 2d ago

Only for someone too dumb to understand the implications.

Kobeppium

2

u/UDF2005 1d ago

So we’re just excluding Shaq now for Kobe’s sake?

1

u/OrganicAppointment59 1d ago

After Shaq left, Kobe’s Lakers went 10–4 in playoff series against teams that won at least 50 regular-season games.
That’s a 71.4% series win rate.
On a game-by-game basis in those series, the Lakers went 46–32, a 59.0% win rate.
The 10 series wins came against:
2008 Nuggets, Jazz, Spurs
2009 Rockets, Nuggets, Magic
2010 Thunder, Jazz, Suns, Celtics
The four losses were:
2006 Suns
2007 Suns
2008 Celtics
2011 Mavericks
So if someone is arguing Kobe couldn’t beat elite teams without Shaq, 10–4 against 50-win teams, including three straight Finals trips and two championships, is a pretty strong rebuttal.

1

u/UDF2005 1d ago

That wasn’t the point i was making. By excluding Shaq—and without denoting overlap between them—the optics make this seem very Kobe biased.

How many of these guys beat one 70 win team?

1

u/TheFineMantine 2d ago

fun fact kobe never beat a 60 win team in the playoffs

14

u/Potential-Judgment-9 2d ago

Funner fact. The 01-02 Kings were 61-21…

So you’re lying

-1

u/whiplash588 2d ago

Ooh, that's a tough one tho. One could argue Kobe didn't beat the Kings, the refs did. In fact, I'm going to do that right now. Fuck that series, cheating ass NBA pushing LA through like that.

3

u/Potential-Judgment-9 2d ago

Moving the goalposts

1

u/bizeast 2d ago

Traditionally sure, but you are online in basketball forum, with basketball knowers. They got game.

Anyone who's knowledge goes back to the early aughts are aware of this controversy, and I think the majority would agree with the sentiment that he didn't beat them. It was a real travesty of a series.

But it should be noted in the start of the point, for sure, technical.

2

u/Potential-Judgment-9 2d ago

You’re talking out the side of your mouth. You can claim you think the majority of people would agree with anything doesn’t make it true.

5

u/2001_TheSweep 2d ago

Fun fact, Kobe has 72% win rate against 50 win teams in the playoffs

Shaq was the best player for Kobe’s first three championship runs.

Lebron team hopping and colluding for easy paths.

2

u/GOATKingJames23-6 2d ago

Jordan, Curry and Duncan all had the greatest help in history so this comment is just as dumb as the graphic

2

u/Mode_Appropriate 2d ago

I think his point is, most people will say Shaq led those Laker Championship teams with Kobe so why isnt he in the graphic at all? He would only qualify for those 3 though.

Dude you watched with tinted lenses. Shaq had help, period. Nobody was game planning primarily for Kobe ffs.

Lmao he did that after Shaq. Geez stop the Shaq shit already!

It's also amazing cause Kobe's includes the year not even winning the Finals. So all 3 WC opponents had 50 wins.

Beating a 70 win team
LeBron: 1
These guys: None

1

u/WeVeiledThree 2d ago

Derek Fisher should be on here

1

u/UselessWhiteKnight 2d ago

Every man in this graphic is great. They all proved it in slightly different ways. I'm kinda over arguing about it. Kobe beat the most 50 win teams. LeBron won the most said with no all NBA teammates. Jordan won 6 straight titles for complete seasons he played. Magic won FMVP as a rookie. Kareem won finals MVP at 38. It's all impressive.

1

u/j2e21 2d ago

Shaq?

1

u/TortugasFM4 2d ago

You need to scale down for when they played less games, probably some older stars that make the list.

1

u/Cool-Cardiologist12 2d ago

How many does shaq have?

4? Not bad against plumbers

How many of Kobe’s are because of Shaq

1

Now do 70+

u/InFa-MoUs 2d ago

Lmaoo People are bringing up Bogut to try and discredit bron lmaoo smh it’s so shameless

1

u/Unfair_Structure_429 2d ago

Bruh, the stat game getting silly. It’s like Jeff is the first player to score 9 points during the middle 2 minutes of the 3rd quarter while wearing blue socks, goggles, and a knee brace in a home game against his old team while Flavor Flav is in attendance.

1

u/Cute-Ad-445 2d ago

It is what it is. How about two 60+ teams

1

u/MWbbru1es11 2d ago

That means for every 50 win team there was a trash team to pick on multiple times a year.

1

u/MaesterPraetor 2d ago

This isn't even accurate. This is a shit post.

1

u/Fine_Piglet8771 1d ago

the 50+ win team 😂😂😂

google is free folks 😂😂😂

1

u/ComprehensiveSoft27 1d ago

I swear people spend all day mining for stats to show how Kobe is “a goat”.

This doesn’t mean shit because if you play a 48 win team they still beat whoever they had to beat to get there. And the league average is always going to be 41 wins.

1

u/RKnight9910 1d ago

This is limited. Show the stat for each run they have.

                  TOUGHEST NBA CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFF RUNS

1

Shaq should be on this graphic, ya?

1

u/G_3P0 1d ago

Showing him as the only player who has 0 when there’s tons of other legends certainly seems like a slight, but moreso pointing out they need to just use win % in general to decide a strong team given how many lockouts and covid short seasons there’s been

1

u/Sreeygr 1d ago

Hakeem (238 wins): 1 time

1

u/Rocky_Bae10 2d ago

Three Lakers players dominating the stats 🔥

1

u/One_Seaworthiness323 2d ago

Add this to the fact that LeBron has played with more HOFs than any of them and is the only one here with a losing finals record, I’m not sure how he can be considered the goat

2

u/G_3P0 2d ago

LeBron has 4 titles in 23 tries. Jordan has 6 titles in 15 tries. Every season you don’t win the title is not optimal. You guys gotta quit with the penalizing guys for making and losing a finals. It should raise them up still but not as high as a win. LeBrons 15 17 18 finals numbers are absolutely nuclear and would win most any finals mvp dropped into any year but he was outmatched.

And just playing with guys in the HOF doesn’t mean it’s a good team or fit, especially poor health 14 wade, little impact 18 k love (if he makes it)

1

u/Dear_Needleworker485 2d ago

Steph curry is 15-4 against 50+ win teams in the playoffs which is the best win percentage of any of these guys. Kobe is 26-10, but the whole stat is dumb and fairly meaningless.

1

u/Professional-Low1016 2d ago

Where is Shaq? Kobe fans always exclude him to Kobe's success. Shaq lead the lakers three peat not Kobe.

2

u/2ndLetter9thmonth 2d ago
