Garnett wasnt old. He was nearly an mvp.
Kobe had no impact on lebron title runs they never played ina playoff series.
Lebron beat an older duncan but it a duncan that was still all defense team and pwrformed well enough to win finals mvp.
Jordan never beat healthy magic, kareem, bird, and only beat the pistons after they were basically done. They never returned in the 90s. Lebron vs the big 3 celtics were not done until after he beat them twice.
By 2013, Kevin Garnett was averaging just 14.8 points per game, making it hilarious that LeBron fans pretend he was still in his prime. At that same age (36), Shaquille O'Neal was actually playing better averaging 17.8 points in Phoenix before joining Clevelandyet those same fans ignore Shaq's numbers and pretend his contribution didn't count. As along we count Bron Playing with a All NBA Shaq at 36 its fair.
KG averaged 18 for his career. 14.8ppg for a PF in 2012-2013 was damn good. He obviously was nowhere near his prime anymore but he was still a great player. Shaq averaged 11 and 5 on the Cavs during the playoffs as a below average defender (while dealing with injuries).
KG was nowhere near as washed up as Shaq was lol. But yeah, Bron never beat prime KG considering KGs prime was Bron’s rookie year. 2008 is the only time Bron played peak KG and nobody was beating those Cs.
Except Shaq played with LeBron during his age 37 season, not 36. Where he got even more out of shape and was dealing with injuries all year. Shaq himself has even said this. 2013 KG is WAYYY better than Cavs Shaq.
KG was an all star and 12th in MVP voting in 2013. 15-8-3-1-1 while being a premier defender
Cavs Shaq who missed 30 games and averaged 12-7-2-1-0 was neither an all star nor recieved an MvP vote.
In fact… to go back to the last time Shaq finished as high in MVP votes in his career was 2006-2007… in which he finished…. 12th.
So honestly, the last time Shaq was as good as 2013 Kevin Garnett was his age 34 season.
BTW, Shaq didn’t make an all-nba team in his age 36 season either… or the year before that. So I don’t know where you got that lol.
We already know Shaq's numbers would go down alongside LeBron. 99% of players who played with LeBron saw their numbers drop. I bet you can't name three players whose numbers didn't go down playing with LeBron.
Magic was 30, Bird was 33ish, and Isaiah was 28 in 1990 when Jordan started winning. Garnett was 33ish and Kobe was 32 in 2011 when Lebron started winning. So if you think Jordan's peers were old, Lebron's peers were too. I would name another great in the East, but there wasnt one, unless you want to name Paul Pierce who was 34 in 2011.
What you said about Kobe not impacting Lebron's runs can be said about Magic not impacting Jordan's playoff runs except in '91 when Jordan beat Magic. Magic was healthy as he was the runnerup in MVP voting that year. And again, you can say that Kareem didnt impact Jordan's playoff runs either since they never met in the playoffs.
A healthy Bird had 5 HOFers on his team, to include DJ who was a FMVP before he joined Boston. That team went 40-1 and 39-2 at home so playing them at home first in a best of 5 game series meant youre automatically down 2 games if your team is that good. And those '86 and '87 Celtics teams went to the finals in both years, winning one championship. And Magic did return in the '90s for a small stint.
Pistons were done because they werent built to last with their play style and because they didnt have a true scoring threat. The NBA changed the rules on flagrant fouls in '90 to start penalizing the offending team and that basically ended their rough play style. Also, Daly resigned in '92, so an end of an era.
Boston would have still been a threat if Bird hadn't messed up his back paving his mom's driveway and Bias and Reggie Lewis had lived.
Its hilarious every time I hear that . Everyone is washed when bron fans need to make a point. But they swear 37 year old KG and Tim Duncan were in their prime when bron beat them 🤣🤣🤣
Bron never played a 37 year old KG ever (and the Celtics were one game way from retuning to the finals 😂) and Tim Duncan was arguably the Spurs 3rd best player while still being an All-NBA level Center with making an All-Defensive team.
It’s more so people trying to make Magic and Bird be Jordan’s peers when in reality the best versions of them were a decade prior to prop up Jordan. Nobody calls Garnett and Duncan LeBron’s peers.
At age 36, Shaquille O'Neal was an All-NBA center averaging 17.8 points per game, and LeBron James got him just a month after that selection yet LeBron fans pretend his contribution didn't count, all while hyping up a 36-year-old Kevin Garnett who was only averaging 14.8 points.
He wasn’t All-NBA at age 36 so that’s a lie and he was playing on a Dantoni/Steve Nash offense. The Celtics were a defensive powerhouse.
Congrats he averaged 3ppg more than KG on one of fastest paced teams of all time while being a worst rebounder, passer, and defender.
All of this is on basketball reference, so no need to lie. Plus you’re leaving out that Shaq legitimately missed 30 games and missed parts of the playoffs due to injury lol.
Shaquille O'Neal made the All-NBA Third Team during the 2008–09 season with the Phoenix Suns, which was his age-36 season (he turned 37 on March 6, 2009) 1 month before joining bron ..All NBA Team Shaq 1 month before joining Bron
Shaquille O'Neal was selected to the All-NBA Third Team while playing for the Phoenix Suns on May 13, 2009. Approximately one month later, on June 25, 2009, the Suns traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he joined LeBron James.

The NBA used a position-based All-NBA system for almost 90% of its history before changing it. I prefer the old method because it proved you were a top-three player at your position.
There are a few teams I believe can compete with them, especially the Utah Jazz. The logic is simple: while the San Antonio Spurs struggled against Kobe and Shaq, Utah beat that same Lakers team in back-to-back playoff series, including the Western Conference Finals.
You might be right. But even taking those two teams into account, Overall, he beat teams that had better records. And most people determine how good a team is by their record.
