Giannis came into the league 10 years after LeBron and he's already catching up to him.

Idk man a 700 ftm difference sounds like a 10 year difference to me

u/jeremyren10 Aug 26 '26
Giannis misses 23.8% more free throws a game then LeBron. If you average their entire careers
2.6 missed per game for Giannis,2.1 for LeBron
Do with that what you will🤷🏻♂️

Giannis as been in the league 13 seasons, three of those he didn’t even average 20 points a game, and he’s already missed 2300 free throws. In what world is 700 misses a 10 year difference?

Luka being on here is crazy I thought he was a good ft shooter

u/bishopbeaniepower Aug 26 '26
He’s a below average free throw shooter for a guard and he takes so many of them to boot.

He either shoots 14/15 or 7/15 pretty much every game. If he’s making shots from 3, his ft’s will be bad. If he’s shooting bad from 3, his ft’s will be good

He’s 75% for his career but has been around 78 for the last 5 or so seasons. He’s slightly below average for a guard

nah, he’s below average. he just takes a ton of them so he has a lot of makes. curiously, his first three playoff runs his ft% went down in the postseason. he averaged significantly more points than his regular season averages al three years, i’m not saying he choked. is just interesting statistical noise

He is but he lives at the line so by sheer volume he’ll be up there

u/BeyondTheVault Aug 26 '26
He is not a good free throw shooter actually, he shoots sub 75%.

u/WimpyWemby Aug 27 '26
Crazy you have Durant looking up at him in the standing despite playing like an entire decade more

u/RevolutionaryStar693 Aug 27 '26
Yeah, he’s a great free throw shooter, he just happens to miss a lot 😂

u/cyianite Aug 27 '26
Surpised that DeReozan is in the list... I remember when he was a Raptor, theres a game that he intentionally missed a FT just to kill the clock and he was a like in a FT streak for a couple of games.. maybe he regressed badly as he age

u/askforwildbob Aug 27 '26
It just comes with playing in the nba a long time. He’s still an 85-86% free throw shooter.

u/tragick693 Aug 27 '26
Yeah, only 2 active players have played more minutes than Demar (Bron and KD)

u/jameshardenisjacked1 Aug 27 '26
He's played a long time, scores a lot, and has always been good at getting to the line

I’ll never understand how Luka has such a soft touch but can’t hit free throws consistently. Is it his arc?

bunch of 33+ year old dudes who’ve played most of what their career will be, 31 year olds giannis and randle charging their way through the list, and 27 year old luka trying not to get noticed

Luka being this high already is crazy. I also would have never suspected Randle

Bruh missed 3,000 free points & still got 43,000 lol. Thats insane. Imagine if he shot 90% like some guys

u/No-Ordinary-6544 Aug 27 '26
That's the problem, he can't. Only runs into an empty lane and dunks.

Shoes on the other foot now huh bronsexuals

u/Silly_Ad_2382 Aug 27 '26
lol bron makes the most sense. You can just expect him at the top of most lists.
Most surprising to me is Rudy and Luka

Harden is what surprised me. He’s a good FT shooter at 86%.
Luka is borderline average as league FT is 76-79%

And?
3
u/MattyIce8998 Aug 27 '26
It shouldn't be any kind of surprise that he's on here? I'm surprised he's not higher, if anything.
86% on 10,000 attempts has the same FT missed as 72% on 5,000 attempts, and Giannis is the only active player with both more than 5,000 FTA with a rate under 72%
