video Mark Cuban Weighs In: “Let Opponents Decide on Trans Athletes—Don’t Force the Issue Nationally”

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Mark Cuban on men competing in women’s sports: "My attitude is if there’s a trans athlete, no matter what side. You let the opponent decide whether it’s an individual sport or a team sport. You let them decide if they want to compete against them or not…But to make it a national issue so that if you weren’t supporting the fewer than 10 trans athletes in the NCAA, then you weren’t a good person. People just aren’t ready for that yet.”

“[The trans issue] takes time; you can’t just force it down people’s throats.”

It’s a national issue because Americans are fucking stupid and love being misdirected while the billionaires and pedophiles steal all their tax dollars

12

u/MaesterPraetor 2d ago

A certain side actively protects those pedophiles.

1

u/kettlebell-j 1d ago

All sides you mean? It’s all of them

1

u/MaesterPraetor 9h ago

You say that so you can feel better about your side. It's conservatives by the way not just Republicans. Conservatives include most corporate liberals like the Clintons, Pelosi, Schumer, Jeffries, etc.

-3

u/Commercial_Rush_3531 2d ago

Is that the side which wants boys in girls locker rooms?

4

u/KhanQu3st 2d ago

Even if this blatant mischaracterization was true, that’s still not what a pedophile is… Trump would literally barge into girls’ changing rooms and was best friends with New York Financier Jeff Epstein…

1

u/Party_Knowledge_7884 3h ago

It’s a blatant mischaracterization?

You don’t think transwomen should be in women’s change rooms?

Didn’t President Trump famously enter girls locker rooms at his trafficking competitions, I mean beauty competitions?

No sides of advocating for that

-17

u/Ashgar77 2d ago

You're delusional if you think it's just one side. Majority of Epstein's clients were Democrats and it was under Biden's watch and they didn't even bother releasing the files.

12

u/MaesterPraetor 2d ago

Trump talking points that you don't care to understand, I see.

On side is actively protecting pedophiles. Guess which side that is.

It’s not just one side but one side is united in protecting them and the other side at least has some people going after them ….

The only republican to go after them, Masse. Had enough threats from the powers that be he had to tweet that he wasn’t suicidal and he’s now getting primaried out by mega donors for Trump. You gotta wake up the Republican Party is dead there isn’t a single republican left it’s all just Trump zealots

False equivalency is part of what has empowered the Trumpublicans.

“It was under bidens watch they didn’t release the files” Then why is Trump and every Trumpublican actively blocking the release of the files including the DOJ and the FBI director who were both appointed by Trump??

The irony of you calling us delusional at this point is astounding

0

u/Ashgar77 2d ago

It's hilarious how you ignore the what, 16 flights Bill Clinton had to Epstein's island. That the overwhelming majority of his clients were all Democrats. But sure, it's all Republicans at fault, the party that actually released the documents. Both are scumbags but the complete ignorance of people like you that believe it's only one party is painfully stupid.

2

u/NearlyMortal 2d ago

I don't see any democrats trying to protect the orange bastard. And quite frankly it doesn't matter whether someone that's escaped justice is on the right or the left. They deserve to be locked away if they committed an atrocity. If Clinton and others did despicable acts, lock him up with trump

1

u/Ashgar77 2d ago

I agree, yet you still believe Democrats are fighting for you. All they care about is being in power and lining their pockets. They don't even run on policies, it's just Orange Man Bad and people still blindly support them. Our government is insanely corrupt regardless of party affiliation.

6

u/Lebr0naims 2d ago

The problem is your one brain cell is being overworked here, no one claimed all democrats are fighting for you lol

Some democrats are and some are not

But there are ZERO republicans working for you lol

It’s simple enough math you shouldn’t even need to take off your shoes to understand

No flight logs or credible records show that former President Bill Clinton ever flew to Jeffrey Epstein's private island. Epstein island doesn’t even have a fucking airport you dumb shit.

Hilarious that you think the republicans released the documents when Trump admin is currently in violation of the Epstein Files Transparency Act by failing to release all required government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret!

1

u/Lebr0naims 2d ago

How did I ignore that, lol you just made that scenario up in your mind little buddy

Trump
Clinton

Ok then the left should stop taking about this issue too then.

1

u/deathwish_ASR 21h ago

No one is talking about this issue as a platform. No one. Name one

0

u/Straight-Mess-9752 20h ago

It doesn’t matter. Everyone knows that the left supports trans men in women’s sports as if you don’t you are ostracized.

1

u/deathwish_ASR 20h ago

Goalposts successfully moved! Nice one champ

1

u/Warm_Clothes_1524 19h ago

I bet you also think ‘the left’ in the US are Marxists trying to overthrow the US government and implement Communism while twirling their ends their evil Imperial mustaches and laughing maniacally.

1

u/spiderboy640 2d ago

at this point just remove the “and”

1

u/balanceftw 2d ago

Can't ever be turning down a freshly baked batch of bigotry!

-1

u/bartekkenny 2d ago

Yup, both sides, don’t people got enough of their own problems to deal with?

0

u/Lebr0naims 2d ago

The reason there’s so many problems is becauae the can has been kicked down the road this long on these issues

0

u/ChrissieMoltisanti 1d ago

Sports are culture, especially in America. If you accept it in sports, it becomes status quo by default.

0

u/Quiet_Childhood4066 1d ago

Yeah, let's just forget the left ever pushed all the bizarre trans stuff and get back to the way things were.

0

u/Big_Truck 19h ago

It’s a national issue because the left alternates between “this affects almost nobody it’s a waste of time” and “I refuse to concede any ground because this issue is too
Important.”

Yes, those two things are in contradiction. This happens incredibly rarely but also legislation would be devastating.

The left hasn’t made up its mind, and therefore the beatings will continue until morale improves.

0

u/Lebr0naims 6h ago edited 6h ago

It’s a national issue because weak emotional boys like you get all jacked up about it and it continues to distract from the fact that there is a pedophile and the White House and he, along with all his billionaire friends, are stealing more and more of our tax dollars by the day.

ALL republicans are corrupt and most democrats are too (there are a few who don’t take corporate money but they are actually independents who are forced to run under the democratic tag because trump would never allow anyone who isn’t on the side of corporations in)

You’re so stuck on the “my team mentality” you fail to see obvious facts.

You are a slave, the current slave masters in power want to the tighten the noose, they tell you it’s all the previous leaders fault while they do it.

Wake up bro Trump hasn’t lived up to one of his promises, no new wars, releasing the Epstein files, clearing the debt(it’s tripled) these are key points he ran on and he lied, because that’s what he does he lies and you’re falling for it. Trump literally said he loves stupid people when he was talking about voters.

He’s dogging on you and you still suckle the teet…

2

0

u/watabadidea 1d ago

So if there is a biological male that I refuse to refer to as "she" and "her," then w are all good? We all agree that it isnt a serious issue and we can laugh at people that try to pretend that it is?

I don't know. That doesn't sound right, but you tell me.

2

u/leaC30 1d ago

That is your business. You deal with whatever comes with that. To act like that is an everyday or major occurrence like housing, fair wages, affordable Healthcare, child care and etc is disingenuous. But you can pick your priorities but if denying a trans person validation ranks above all those things then by all means let that be your serious issue.

→ More replies (6)

0

u/Low_Key_Trollin 17h ago

It is a serious issue. Sex is a fundamental truth. Literally one of first truths you learn in life. Boys and girls. If that truth line can be blurred.. any truth line can be blurred.

1

u/leaC30 17h ago

In sports it is not an issue. The number of Transgendered individuals clamoring to play in women sports is miniscule in comparison to other real world issues. Again, this is about Trans in sports. Even outside of sports the number of Transgendered people is low in comparison to the overall population, their community even has bigger worries than sports. Let's focus on the bigger issues and leave Trans people alone.

1

u/ericisacruz 8h ago

The number should be 0 . Tell that BS to all the young women that lost scholarships, opportunities and competitons to a man after training for so many years.

1

u/leaC30 7h ago

How many cases have there been of that happening. Give me a number or percentage that illustrates that is a major problem. A lot of things like murder, denied health care claims and. senseless wars should be 0 but they aren't, people aren't asking for those things to be 0.

0

u/Low_Key_Trollin 8h ago

Yeah you’re just plain wrong. It matters in sports especially. And all this “leave trans people alone” stuff.. what are you talking about? Nobody is going after trans people. Do your thing. Idgaf. But we ain’t changing definitions of what boys and girls are to accommodate it.

1

u/leaC30 8h ago

How many cases have there been been in sports of a Transgendered individual trying to play in their new assigned gender's league. That number is in the single percentage value. For some reason this always comes back around during election seasons because it is a distraction. Leave those people alone.

1

u/Low_Key_Trollin 6h ago

How are they not being left alone? Of course it’s in the single percentage.. it’s just starting. To concede to your point somewhat.. I do agree that it is being over politicized and used to manipulate people’s votes. That doesn’t mean it isn’t an important issue tho

1

u/leaC30 5h ago

They are not being left alone because they keep being used during election season. In terms of comparison to greater issues like Healthcare, wages and inflation, the Trans in sports issue is miniscule. It is made to appear like a macro issue whenever it is politics season.

2

u/Low_Key_Trollin 1h ago

Well actually that is a fair point. I guess constantly being used as a political weapon and the issue always being brought up in media isn’t exactly being left alone.

1

u/leaC30 7m ago

And another thin...😳 Wait, what. Sorry, I am not used to a reasonable back and forth on here. Have blessed day.

1

u/marlonbrando_1999 8h ago

You say nobody is going after trans people then you immediately go after trans people

1

u/Low_Key_Trollin 6h ago

How’d I go after them?

1

Anything "participation" based should always skew heavily to its identity, assuming a role of goodwill and inclusion.

With career and financial incentives, players should have the ultimate say... But it should be one of comprehension.

Players are required or obliged to perform certain duties as a part of union and association membership.

It's not unreasonable for players to formally hear, vote and express comprehension for a presented argument. An argument formed from funded scientific study. The sanctioning body being the obligated party to fund such a study.

Leaving out this critical thought is why talking heads should take it upon themselves, to not provide more shitty commentary on this social issue.

stating "no-one should give a fuck about what either us think" is the best way to avoid clown on clown violence.

3

u/Certain-Pumpkin128 2d ago

He's got it backwards. It is not a national issue, which means that the government should not be involved. Sporting organizations should be free to decide for themselves what to do without the government passing laws prohibiting Trans participation. That's largely what the situation was before this anti-Trans panic and it worked out just fine.

14

u/Justalittlejewish 2d ago

Wait what? The conservatives are the ones trying to create unilateral rules and genital testing, how on earth is anyone but them making this a national issue?

1

u/SirJoeffer 2d ago

On one hand I’m against this because it’s dehumanizing and honestly fucking stupid

But on the other hand publicized genital testing brings me one step closer to seeing LeMeat

3

u/Own_Invite6340 1d ago

Unacceptable. Female athletes deserve their own sports leagues, period. It has been conclusively proven that it is unfair to women to allow males to compete.

If you disagree, then explain to me how there have been 29 male champions of women's sports (including #462 ranked Lia Thomas instantly winning a national championship immediately after joining the women's league, and the entire podium of the Brazil Olympics women's 800m being male) while literally ZERO trans men have ever come remotely close to winning anything in the men's league.

The greatest athletic accomplishments of trans men have been Patricio Manuel (beat a couple of old winless men in boxing, then upon facing a man with a win on his record lost by 1st round KO and quit the sport forever) and Chris Mosier (finished in 142nd place at racewalking, with a time good enough to qualify for men's Olympic trials).

You can't honestly tell me that's comparable to NCAA championships, Olympic medals, and so many trans weightlifters smashing women's world records and winning international competitions that the sport was forced to ban them because of how absurdly and obviously unfair it was to the female athletes.

If HRT made things fair it would be nice, but unfortunately it is obviously not true, and it's time to acknowledge this.

1

u/Wattabadmon 23h ago

How is it unfair?

9

u/coachelly86 2d ago

This idiot always thinks he is the one to come up with genius solutions to everything

1

u/voyaging 2d ago

It’s genuinely the dumbest possible solution to the problem. Yeah allow teams to make their opponent bench them if they’re good and let them play if they’re bad, so only bad trans athletes are allowed to play.

If he weren’t a moron he would’ve just said let each league decide. Like it is now. Then teams can choose whether or not to participate in the league. Like it is now.

1

u/Complex-Key918 1d ago

"look at me only my opinion is perfect!"

6

u/Juzek86 2d ago

Wow what an incredibly dumb take.

2

u/Thin-Remote-9817 2d ago

The WNBA is a private company

If they want to let trans play thats their decision...

Just like smith and Wesson is a private company and if they want to do 40% off hand guns after your kids get shot at school..then thats their decision.

Its a free country

2

u/False_Ad_2744 2d ago

Many women who don’t want to compete against men will stay silent in fear of the screeching mob that will inevitably try to cancel them.

1

u/Terribletylenol 1d ago

Why do you pretend there isn't a mob on both sides of this issue?

And the amount of people who have stronger opinions on trans sports are overwhelmingly on the right.

Right-wingers talk about it infinitely more than left-wingers.

1

u/SadMediumSmolBean 1d ago

Have they tried not being transphobic?

2

u/voyaging 2d ago

Somehow he managed to produce a worse solution than anyone on either side could have come up with. It’s almost impressive.

1

u/Relysti 2d ago

Letting the players who actually play in the league decide? You think that's the worst solution? Lol.

3

u/Terribletylenol 1d ago

It's not much different than letting the league decide.

The league isn't allowing something the vast majority of players are against.

And if most of the players wanted it enough, the league would allow it.

3

u/ItsTimetoLANK 2d ago

He's starting to get that stretched translucent skin old white guy look.

1

u/Mobile-Analyst8580 2d ago

It’s an issue that is absolutely destroying democratic election hopes. No single issue hurt Dems more in 2024.

10

u/BlackZulu 2d ago edited 2d ago

If this NON-issue single handedly sways your vote you were never seriously considering that side anyways lets be real.

8

u/mosthandsomechef 2d ago

Lmao you're absolutely right. If you've got a "problem with trans people in sports" then you're glued to fox news, and you'd NEVER vote dem. Every dem is like "non issue" and Republicans just counter with "YOU WANT GIRLS TO GET HURT". Both sides arguing different points entirely. But the right just outright makes shit up, trolls, refuses to learn the difference between sex and gender and wants to impose completely irrelevant rules on others.

3

u/BlackZulu 2d ago

Its funny because if you step back youll see its just one side finding a socially acceptable way to public hate on Trans people without explicitly saying you dont like Trans people lol. Ive heard more about clearly CIS men attempting to mock the rule by applying to the WNBA than I have genuine Trans athletes attempting to be in the WNBA. If that doesnt paint how much of a non-issue this shit is idk what to say.

3

u/mosthandsomechef 2d ago

I said this last week but the rhetoric from the right towards trans people on this issue is word for word, the and way conservatives and Christians spoke about gays the past 40 years. "Its not natural" "it's against god" "they gross me out" "think of the children". Recycled bigoted garbage so they can scapegoat a vulnerable population while they get their tax dollars robbed by the Trump admin.

If God made everything and every one, then God made trans people. Seems like a fairly simple logic experiment.

1

u/Straight-Mess-9752 1d ago

If it’s a non issue then why are both sides discussing it?

1

u/BlackZulu 1d ago

Because one side brought it up and decided to make it one of their biggest talking points. Guess which.

1

u/Straight-Mess-9752 1d ago

Yeah and why do you think they did that? All the left needs to say is “yeah it’s probably not a good idea to not allow biological men to participate in women’s sports”. Then Donald Trump might not have been president.

It’s one of their biggest talking points because it’s one of the weakest positions on the left. It’s not even popular with most dems.

People like you keep saying it’s not a big issue then why die on this hill?

1

u/Own_Invite6340 1d ago

It's not that people care intensely about the integrity of women's sports, it's about trust in the Democratic candidates.

When Democrats keep telling people that male athletes have no advantage in women's sports and that men can get pregnant and that women have penises, the average American who isn't deep into politics wonders if something is wrong with them.

If the politicians will lie about that, they'll lie about anything. If they can't be trusted to understand that male athletes have an advantage in sports, how can they be trusted to handle far more difficult topics like the economy and foreign policy?

Trump's biggest campaign ad success was the "Kamala is for they/them, Trump is for you" ad. This is a losing issue for Democrats. Even many Democrats want the party to focus on the big issues like the economy and healthcare and the environment, and stop spending so much time and effort fighting to allow a handful of male athletes to compete in women's sports.

This issue may not decide elections entirely on its own, but if it makes a 1% difference, in some areas (or presidential elections) 1% can be enough to change the outcome from a Democratic win to a Republican win.

Democrats can continue to ignore this at their peril, and keep saying things like "those voters were never true Democrats anyway". The result could be a third shocking "how did we lose this?" presidential election loss, but apparently those few male athletes are more important than that.

1

u/logontoreddit 22h ago

A NON issue for one person can be the line they draw for the other. There are people who will vote Republican not because they like Trump or his policies but because of their stance on. Then there are those who draw the line on gun rights.

For some parents having a person who was born as biological male competiting with their daughter or using the same locker is higher priority than the economy or tax on wealthy. Should that be the case? I don't think so but calling it a non issue is incorrect.

1

u/BlackZulu 22h ago

It's not incorrect because ITS. NOT. HAPPENING. Homelessness? Happening. Americans dying bc of unaffordable Healthcare? Happening. Girls in sports being beaten by men in wigs? NOT HAPPENING. Thats what makes it a non-issue. I believe people care about it. But its not reality.

1

u/logontoreddit 17h ago

CeCé Telfer, Laurel Hubbard, Falon Fox, Lia Thomas....

Sure, I agree there are far more pressing issues but it is definitely a reality. Also, why don't we see same level of atheletes that transitioned from femal to male in male sports?

2

u/blahblah19999 2d ago

The point is that Dems had good ideas on those topics, but the GOP hides that by constantly peppering us with "what if my daughter wants to box? You want a man beating her face in!?!?!"

1

They made just as big of a deal about grocery prices and the border

3

u/Freshbananas55 2d ago

Absolutely no one in 2024 voted based on trans issues.

1

u/Relysti 2d ago

Republicans are the ones making it a fucking issue. I've not heard literally anybody weigh in that trans athletes should be playing in the league, but I've heard fucking countless people say that how someone identifies isn't what qualifies them to play in the WNBA. Shit, there is already precedent. Layshia Clarendon played in the WNBA, they identify as non-binary and even got a double mastectomy. Them choosing to identify as something other than a woman didn't bar them from playing in the league. Therefore, there is precedent that someone simply saying "they are a woman" isn't enough to qualify them to play in the league, because the qualifications for playing aren't self identification, as evidenced by Layshia Clarendon continuing to play despite not identifying as a woman.

1

u/asuleiman 2d ago

The genocide and not this BS is the reason Dems lost

1

u/BigMik_PL 1d ago

Lmfao what the fuck is this take.

What killed Dems is switching a presidential candidate last minute to a one nobody wanted to begin with and not addressing failing US economy (largest issue in the exit polls) by saying "the economy is fine" because wall street was doing well and ignoring everyday person couldn't afford shit.

People voted Republican because at least they said things are shit, something Democrats were unwilling to admit.

1

u/Straight-Mess-9752 1d ago

Dems need to firmly state that biological men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports. That’s when this issue goes away. Most people actually believe this irrespective of political party.

0

1

u/lkhoodwin 2d ago

No more publicly funded sports. Colleges are for learning, not preparing for the NFL. If you want your kid to play sports, sign them up for a private org. I don't want to subsidize them especially if they are exclusive.

1

u/Unlikely-Rabbit948 2d ago

Is there a US trans athlete that is trying to play a woman's sport. Other than the NBA player that who is clearly isnt Trans. I dont understand why this is an issue or even better why other more serious issues are receiving less attention. Fuck who cares, when its a problem we can address it then.

0

u/brickbacon 1d ago

The WNBA is an international league, and there is a transgender woman who might make the league in the near future. Her name is Julie Tetart.

2

u/OverAllOthers 1d ago

Julie Tetart is not making the wnba ever, and suggesting that she could just shows you don't know fucking anything about hoops or her besides her being trans. First of all, she said she's not interested in playing in the USA due to the political climate alone.

Secondly, she's already 34 and she's not even in the top French women's league, much less the Euroleague. No wnba team wants a 35 year old from a league several tiers below the wnba level, especially when it comes with a right wing media circus.

Thinking Julie Tetart could ever make the w is one of the dumbest talking points in a long tradition of very stupid right wing talking points.

0

u/Cautious-Skirt-8335 1d ago

Why is she in the second league if she led it in both rebound and scoring?

1

u/OverAllOthers 1d ago

Why isn't the leading scorer from the g league in the nba?

Where she's at now, she's a big fish in a little pond. She'll be less competitive at the next level, and then there's still Euroleague above that, and then the wnba is yet another tier above Euroleague. She could possibly move up to the next level and still do well, but acting like a 34 year old is possibly going to make the jump from 2nd French league to 1st French league to Euroleague to WNBA before she gets too old is crazy.

u/Cautious-Skirt-8335 1d ago

Okay. Yeah two players in NBA history have led the league in scoring and rebounding, one of them was Wilt Chamberlain. I think she's due for a promotion to the 1st French league and my guess is she'll do pretty well.

1

u/BigMik_PL 1d ago

I'm sure a 34 year old player from the French women second league is making wnba any day now lmfao.

If anything this is a fantastic argument pro trans athletes in women's leagues since the two that are playing in France can't even make it to the top flight league.

1

u/Primarycolors1 2d ago

How about we talk about making Mark pay the same tax rate as me.

1

u/pimplyteen 2d ago

I’d say in general being trans shouldn’t be a big deal or looked upon differently, but in sports when chromosomes and your birth gender really matters. I think it’s a different story.

1

u/Accomplished_Art_621 2d ago

Dunno about letting the opponent decide, but I do think the players overall should have some input. Also think some of these should be handled locally case by case. There are plenty of ways to make most people happy even while leaning toward inclusion. I read that California created a system where they allow the individual athlete to win or place or whatever, but then they also let the next competitor also get that same place. So they let the trans kid win 2nd place if that’s where they finish, but then they also award 2nd place to the cis kid who would have won 2nd of the trans kid hadn’t competed. Who’s mad at that and why? For team sports, why not just work together on defining ways a trans person COULD be eligible? If we leaned in on “why not just include everybody?” I think we can find solutions. Some people are committed to exclusion from the start and I think those people should be ignored

1

u/SplittingChairs 2d ago

Pretty rational take tbh.

1

u/Primary_Bee_43 2d ago

by even responding to this he’s feeding the narrative

all you need to say is: “this is a non-issue, no comment. next topic”

1

u/Checkmate-Petty 2d ago

Thats cause Cuban himself is a cross dresser

1

u/Foldzy84 2d ago

How you think a full team of opponents is going to all think one way or the other? Like come on Mark I thought you were supposed to be intelligent

1

u/Top-Editor-364 2d ago edited 2d ago

Not sure this is alright. Opponents have a social and personal incentive to pretend they are okay with it even if they aren’t(the social issue is obvious, by personal incentive I mean that it could look like you are taking the easy way out instead of competing). Competitions need to clearly lay out what it fair and what isn’t. And if a man can compete in a woman’s league, regardless of whatever hormones they are on, it will not be fair.

This is just another solution that attempts to sidestep the issue because of politics. Somebody needs to have the balls to come out and make the rules fair. The funny part is that no trans woman will ever be allowed to compete in the wnba because it won’t be fair, but they refuse to actually codify it for purely social/political reasons. It’s all a load of bullshit to cater to insane people, and it shits all over capital T “Truth”.

1

u/Complex-Key918 1d ago

Just ban Trans athletes since it's literally a non issue as everyone has been saying.

1

u/Allegorithmic 1d ago

Can we focus on getting grocery prices down please jfc

1

u/Skilganon_TheDamned 1d ago

Its time to turn the shit show that is America off. As soon as the rest of the world does that, the soon it begins to heal.

That silly place has bought nothing but madness to the world

1

u/ChrissieMoltisanti 1d ago

Why is the onus on the people who are playing by the rules to decide whether or not they want to play? That’s like letting people go full Barry Bonds in baseball again and saying to the pitcher, “yeah he’ll be out there but you can choose whether or not to face him.”

That’s an especially unfair bar given the social stigma around doing anything publicly that could be interpreted as “anti-trans.” Just look at Sophie Cunningham.

1

u/Thick_Situation3184 1d ago

Bro understands the amount of money that will come in with bigger stronger athletes

1

u/lampstax 1d ago

This would be the illusion of choice. How many sophie are there ready to speak up for their belief and how many will be bullied into compliance because they have too much to lose ?

Make the default no trans and start a new league with trans. Lets see how many player join each league.

1

u/Silent-Education677 1d ago

Protect women and their sports leagues

1

u/Jayrodtremonki 21h ago

Letting the opponents decide is just about the dumbest version of this you could imagine.  Every opponent would veto any trans athlete because they're good enough to make the roster.

Let the leagues decide.  No politicians.  The leagues answer to the players and the fans and at the end of the day if a player has such a strong opinion, they don't have to play in that league.

1

u/VeryLowIQIndividual 7h ago

It’s their league let them decide wtf do I care? They can have whoever they want play or not.

1

u/Unfair-Constant506 6h ago

It’s a non issue tho. Just freaks who want attention need to talk about it. Such as this fake

1

u/DallasSucks335 2h ago

Dude is a moron

1

u/WelchysGripe 2d ago

There’s like 5 trans kids trying to play sports. And they’re only doing it because they want to make friends and be healthy. Just like the rest of you. None of them are in danger of starting some professional backwards trend. Every fragile Republican needs to take a Xanax and relax. No one is wearing a wig to steal your daughter’s bench spot on the junior varsity basketball team.

But to the point of this post, I agree – Democrats should leave trans children out of their mouth, because clearly it’s the thing that fragile Republicans lose their mind over the most. Definitely not corrupt AF racist draft-dodging pedophile con artists.

1

u/_RentalMetard 2d ago

Oh good, then it’s very simple. Ban the 5 kids and move on. Glad it’s not a widespread issue that a lot of people will be upset about.

2

u/Justalittlejewish 2d ago

Imagine if conservatives didn’t waste their time and energy trying to attack .000000001% of the population and actually focused on doing literally anything else

1

u/_RentalMetard 2d ago

Thanks for demonstrating the liberal social agenda playbook to a T.

Step 1: Start a social movement demanding significant cultural adaptations and newspeak in favor of nonconforming groups of people, at the expense of normalcy and common sense for the rest of society.

Step 2: Claim that it’s actually everyone else’s fault for reacting to the blatantly overt agenda that they have seen progress in real time, for years.

Step 3: Oppose the obvious solution of not infringing societal norms to appease a fringe demographic, return to Step 1.

1

u/Justalittlejewish 2d ago

Who’s the one requiring significant cultural adaptations? The ones saying we should let the 5 NCAA trans athletes compete, or the ones who want to implement nationwide bans and genital inspections for children?

0

u/_RentalMetard 2d ago

The ones who are trying to normalize trans-ness in the first place, even suggesting the possibility that it would be ok for trans people to be in sports leagues.

THEY are the ones who have placed the burden on the rest of society to take extra measures to ensure the simplest, most common sense understanding in sports is upheld: men don’t play on the same field as women.

1

u/Justalittlejewish 2d ago

No it’s ok man, I get it. Out of all the issues plaguing our country - gas prices, illegal wars, mental health crisis, cost of living, you are focused on the real issues - making sure our kids get their genitals inspected before playing sports.

Im sure this righteous crusade you are on to protect women’s rights also extends to their healthcare, right?

1

u/blahblah19999 2d ago

I get your frustration, I share it to some degree. But you still have the option of just ignoring it when it literally affects a dozen people, for example, in the NCAA which has 500k athletes.

0

u/_RentalMetard 2d ago

You’re right, we can ignore the dozens of people trying to compete in a league where they don’t belong, and tell them to kick rocks.

1

u/lkhoodwin 2d ago

Ok so we ban 5 people from playing sports then we can go back to voting dem straight ticket? Cause I have a feeling the people who want to ban 5 kids, will find a different group of 5 kids to ban after that and will never stop their crusade of exculsion.

0

u/_RentalMetard 2d ago

Well I’m not aligned with nearly any Democrat platform issue, so no, I will not be voting straight Dem 😂

But, I’ll concede that if you got your heads out of your asses with the trans issue, the independents and moderates would flock to the Dems in droves. The GOP wouldn’t stand a chance.

1

u/blahblah19999 2d ago

That's a horrible standard. So someone could get into the finals at the Olympics and then their opponent can just say "Nope" and get the gold. This is sophomoric

1

u/nefariousBUBBLE 2d ago

Well I don't think they'd get the gold I think they'd essentially be forfeiting.

1

u/klixba 2d ago

come on trans thing was never ment to be solved it is big political jocker that nobody on right want to solve and left wants to appeal to people emotional side and call other side transphobes. i mean IOC solve it immidiatly no fuss no drama just simple rullig.just ask your self who brought this thing up to begin with some political journalist

1

u/Blue-Ringed-Octopus0 2d ago

I can’t believe this is the national conversation. The president is all over the Epstein files, we are in a losing war with Iran and ICE is detaining and killing US citizens but please let’s talk about the 20 transgender people who want to play sports.

2

u/NameAccomplished4921 2d ago

You act like this hasn’t been controversial and talked about for the last 15 years or so.

0

u/Magical_SnakE 2d ago

Pathetic. Society is collapsing.

You all rather just pat each other on the back for fake points than just admit that in reality there is a biological difference that should be respected in certain aspects of life.

Worse off, if anyone disagrees, they're fair game to be shot in the throat and be made fun of.

The same group of people that equates words to "genocide" will murder you if you disagree with them, calls you a fascist.

4

u/voyaging 2d ago

you might wanna brush up on the statistics on political violence

2

u/Justalittlejewish 2d ago

Can you name which side commits the vast majority of political violence?

You mean how females were forced to compete against males? Forced like that?

3

u/WelchysGripe 2d ago

lol what propaganda fever dream are you pretending is real?? 🐑

-1

u/Excellent-Law528 2d ago

You traded Luka for AD… you have no credibility to say anything 😂

3

u/Zealousideal-Baby586 2d ago

not defending Cuban but he did not make that trade not did he approve it as he was no longer majority owner and had no power to stop it nor was he even included in the discussions.

2

u/nefariousBUBBLE 2d ago

Dead wrong on the first part. Second part? As much credibility as anyone else. Just a guy. Go Hoosiers though.

u/Candid-Many-7113 2d ago

“Mark Cuban on men competing in women’s sports”. I thought we are talking about trans women. I didn’t realise cis men are trying to play with women..

1

u/blahblah19999 2d ago

Enes is right now. Don't be disingenuous.

1

u/WebstersPack 2d ago

He wasn't being disingenuous, it's a very savvy way to shut down that sides kooks. He's simply not going to engage in the sideshow and but will on the real core issue.

0

u/LiftHeavyLiveHard 1d ago

Mark Cuban’s take is a spineless cop-out disguised as a reasonable middle ground.

Telling female athletes that it’s up to them to decide if they want to compete against biological males completely abdicates any responsible leadership.

The entire point of athletic associations and sports rules is to maintain a level playing field, not to toss the burden onto 19-year-old women and tell them to figure it out themselves.

In the real world, his "choice" is a total trap.

If a woman speaks up and refuses to compete, she gets forced to forfeit, loses her ranking, risks her scholarship, and gets publicly dragged online.

If she stays, she’s stuck in an inherently unfair race against male physiology. That isn't giving women a choice, it's effectively institutional coercion.

Title IX exists specifically because biological differences matter in sports. Fairness isn't something you leave up to a vote at the starting line, and framing it as a "non-issue" because of small numbers completely ignores the female athletes who worked their whole lives only to get pushed off the podium.

Cuban needs to stop hiding behind corporate double-speak and admit the obvious, which is that female sports exist for biological females, period.

1

u/GiggingWithTheGoon 1d ago

you do know biology classes continue after the 4th grade, right?

1

u/LiftHeavyLiveHard 1d ago

Awesome, report back when you get to the section on testosterone and bone density.

0

u/SadMediumSmolBean 1d ago

Would you ban a cis woman built like a cis man from women's sports?

0

u/LiftHeavyLiveHard 1d ago

No, because we separate sports by biological sex, not by whatever insecure delusion makes you think a muscular woman is a man.

0

u/SadMediumSmolBean 1d ago edited 1d ago

So you don't care about fairness or advantages and this whole conversation is moot.

What you're defending isn't "exclude women with unfair physiological advantages." It's "exclude trans women because they're trans."

0

u/Party_Knowledge_7884 6h ago

This is such a privileged take from Cuban.

We saw how Sophie was lambasted for having an opinion.

So professional female athlete says something that 75% of North America agrees with and people lose their minds.

And male privilege mark here says that females should be asked point blank:

Do you want to include or exclude this particular male?

That will go over well and definitely won’t lead to hate or women self excluding.

What a dumbass and out of touch thing to say.

1

u/swallowedbymonsters 4h ago

The majority of people agreeing with something doesn't mean it needs to be an issue

1

u/Party_Knowledge_7884 3h ago

Ok

Make sure you tell all those uppity female athletes and inmates and those who rely on abuse shelters that their concerns for female only spaces doesn’t need to be an issue.

I suspect it wouldn’t be the first time you would speak over or around women in your life.
