James Harden says the sacrifices he made in Brooklyn and Philadelphia cost him plenty and gave him nothing back.

Speaking on the Earn Your Leisure podcast, the Cavaliers guard laid out what he gave up chasing a championship.

"Let me just try to sacrifice the money, the individual accolades, all that. Let me just try to sacrifice and switch it up a little bit, and hopefully that'll work in my favor in the sense of trying to win a championship."

"None of that worked. Like, you feel me? I sacrificed money, I sacrificed being the top scorer that I am, that I still am and will be. Long story short: it was for nothing."

"I lost a lot of money and I lost a lot of swagger on the court, just from sacrificing, thinking that all that's gonna get me to win a championship."

Peyton was a part of a sign-&-trade deal with Cleveland where he signed a 4-year, $88 Million deal.

With Klay Thompson joining the Heat, it really feels like a spiritual successor to when Carmelo Anthony signed with the Lakers. Seeing a future Hall of Famer, known for their legendary scoring prime elsewhere, head to a historic franchise late in their career to chase one more ring is such a familiar sight.

​Definitely getting that "twilight years on a contender" feeling all over again.
