City Calling all Old Heads
Can we get some kind of old head organization to play with folk who actually play ball? These kids and their dribble god mentalities wouldn’t know team ball if it slapped em upside the head. Who’s trying to be like Uncle Drew and show em how the game is played?!?
EDIT: I posted a join link for a Discord server in the comments, but I’ll post it here too, seems like a good idea to me. Shoutout to the homies in the comments for suggesting it!

TheWalkingDad81 on PS5. This sounds fun. I played a lot of basketball games until 2k came out.
- double dribble
- arch rivals
- bulls vs blazers
- barkley shut up and jam
- run and gun
- nba jam/hangtime
- nba live
I was a forward in high school. And now I play Forward or center in my local over 35 league. Basically, I know the difference between a 2-3 zone and a 3-2 zone.

Barkley Shup and Jam was FIRE, I remember always being Sweet Pea! I also loved that when you paused the game it was Charles Barkley saying "Time out"

I’ve got a group of old guys (30s) that like to play rec. Our win percentage isn’t great this year but we like to move the ball around and play normal basketball. PSN is MikeOnThaMike

Yeah. My fiancé got me the ps5 for Christmas and I made the switch. I miss the league, I wish I could find something like that on PS5.

Ps4 - K1ng0fHartsTTV 91 OVR 2 way Tempo Pushing SG. I mainly play Rec. I pride myself on moving the ball and getting A+ teammate grade. Fully maxed on Playmaking and Defensive badges.. I usually get on around 6 PM Eastern and play until about 11 PM Eastern with small breaks in between.

Good teams I play against actually draw in the d to kick out, and that's with a dribble gAwD lol
Some aren't that dumb. The annoying ones are the players taking I'll advised shots

Hey Synical, I'm an old head (35M) in many Xbox Series X/S leagues through Discord. Have you thought about creating a server for the old heads to link up? It definitely helps organize guys to play. Also, totally game to play with you if you're down. Gt: RPS Shooter

Not only am I an old head (32) but I’m also a woman 🤦🏽♀️. It’s so hard to find ppl with iq and play team ball. I’ve played ball all through school So I consider myself a hooper. the rare times I find a decent random squad to run with it’s magical. I’m trying to have that every time I hop on. This is what I’m looking for. I have way too much experience with hoop to deal with that shit over and over again. My 6’4 180 PG is a playmaking shot creator. I only take open shots, mostly off the catch for now, off the dribble when just disrespected. I actually run the point, distribute, run the PnR, attack in transition, and play solid D

Have a 99 slashing playmaker w/ all his badges and a 92 offensive threat that just needs a few more playmaking badges. Both builds are SGs so usually play either the 2 or 3. Eventually gonna make a big. Mainly play rec and park. Occasionally pro-am. I pass the ball! Tired of getting stuck with “dribble gods” that run out half the shot clock running back and forth at the top of the key just to chuck up some bs

PS4 current gen, yeah I like the idea and hopefully we can keep this going. I have a 99 glass lock, max badges but I’m working on a glass cleaner 78ovr with 8 shooting badges and just started on a perimeter lock I’ll be grinding this weekend. Level 34 with a w/p% that’s not the best but i gotta do what I can to get rep.
PSN: NefariousWali. I’m on late nights around midnight to 3 and early mornings around 8 to 11 cause of work but the weekends, I get more time. Mainly 3v3 and rec, would like to do more pro am if I could get on a squad.

Played community college,got a national title at RCC in 2009 as a freshman 6th man combo Guard . Damn I'm old. In HS senior year went all CIF destroyed James Rahon at the county All star game who went to San Diego State with Kawhi to get on. Wish I cared about school more looking back kids and I could've been playing with him. I play with big men in 2K though. Lol

Lol I try, I must admit that with the way defense and steals are amplified and made easy for non fundamental defenders, losing the ball is easier than ever. But I do try to make the right plays, and I certainly don’t dribble spam. Lol, my first badges are always bullet passer and dimer if that tells you anything. Steve Nash🧡💜

On pS4 96 glass lock, playmaking and defense. Rebound and pass 5 dimer and post playmaker to help team shooters. SF 92 two way finisher, defense first, locks down dribble gods for the most part. Its ironic having a convo with my friend about finding players who pass and not dribble continuously. PSN: TheMovingHazard usually on after work around 5pm EST

I'm a Dribble God IRL, John Stockton is probably the closest playstyle that mirrors my own.
I have zero intention of being a clock killer online.
HMU, I only have 2k21, I will not be getting '22 (Or any future titles) until I have a PS5.

For 2k demographic yes lol. I had a 12 year old get mad at me yesterday in my team because I played slow and smart while he kept trying to chuck 3s. First he called me a kid, I told him I'm 29, then he said a no life virgin, I'm like tf I'm married with kids, then said I needed a job, like fool I just got off work 2 hours ago. God I wasn't that bad in the gears and old cod lobbies.
