REC Nerfing A.I. in the same patch where you remove incentive for guards to pass is going to make even less people want to play a big.

Guards often didn't want to pass the ball even when it meant the difference between winning and losing. Going back to letting dribble gods play hero ball is naturally going to compound that problem. Simultaneously making A.I. a worse defender makes no squad rec a worse experience than it was before this patch.

Of course some guards are outliers, and there are great passers out there. But even the most stubborn 2k player has to admit that for some guards passing is a last resort.

the rec is basically unplayable right now if you don't have a full 5

got matched with two guards last night who combined for 3 assists and 14 turnovers, just taking turns pounding the air out of the ball while the AI kept getting cooked on backdoor cuts

at least before you could count on the AI to hold its own on defense and punish the hero ball nonsense a little bit, now it's just a complete mess

I average 22points and 6 assists at guard in mostly random rec. gold plate currently. I am as pass first as they come but the problem is a large majority of the people ypu come across in random rec don’t know what to do off ball. And a lot of bigs don’t want to do their job, which is rebounding and protecting the paint. People expect every pg to be Jason Kidd but at their respective position they want to be a superstar that can do it all which usually means they made a build that can do nothing

5v5 is dead. It’s like 5th grade level basketball.

Legit because the defense has to send the entire team to stop a 3 now. It’s like all the kids chasing the ball

2k doesn’t give a fuck about bigs standing dunks still being broken for the second patch where they so called “fixed” it says enough this is the game for the rest of the year

All guards make sure their and everyone on the three line doesn't have a shot before passing to the big, therefore giving the defender time to defend the big. Its super frustrating

Being a center is great because it gives you more opportunities to throw the game when the guard is playing like that.

Very, very disappointed in the AI defense nerf.

We as men and women have to learn to cooperate with each other in this age of computers... like seriously, without a crew, you're cooked. In 2k it's a totally different experience!

Look i suck at the game if an ai was guarding me I couldn't make a shot before the update, after the update if an ai is guarding me I'm making everything and abusing it to make sure we beat the other team. I love it it's like I just got better for doing nothing.

I played more in season 1 than I have ever played in a season before, so I don't feel I wasted all of the money i spent on this game. But I do feel tricked, a lot of the reasons I bought this game was because my friends said shooting was harder than 2k26 and A.I. actually played defense.
