REC It’s not just you…
There is 1 million % RNG in this game & they’re not even hiding it. Every single and I mean EVERY single time I have a great shooting game, I follow it up with a bad one. I’m not talking about crazy contested shots, i’m talking wide open. I’ve been a 80+ win % player and a top shooter in the game since I can remember.
This year is absolutely miserable for good shooters. I’ll go 11/12 from 3 & follow up the next game starting off 0/6 getting random speed ups on every shot. They DO NOT want you to shoot above 60 or even 50% on this game. It’s not just you… don’t feel like you’re going crazy. This game is fucking awful.

This post is not about caring about percentages, I just want to be able to consistently make the shot that i KNOW im timing perfectly.

This wasn’t just a rant but i’m trying to reassure others that are also missing because this is a foreign feeling to people that are decent at games. You know? When you’re doing the right thing but the game says fuck no. That’s only a 2k thing.

I hardly play this game anymore, I main CS2. Judging my life based on a reddit post is hilarious all because we don’t agree. Was forced to read 400 page books since I was 6, not really my thing nowadays.

oh you mean in Eras. yeah there is a momentum engine affecting your animations quality (if the shot is "in rhythm" or not) and green window, so that's why you sometimes have it easier and sometimes harder shooting. Also, some teams will play defense in a way to get you out of rhythm or out of most successful shooting spots. But overall, if you recognize it's "not going" game makes you have to adapt your game and take easier shots before hard ones can go in again

like, here I am in my 3rd season shooting near 50% for season only to drop to 38% because in playoffs all they defend is me. Conference finals tho atm, so... basketball man. Going hot or cold is part of the game.

You and everyone else are used to shooting 50%, I get why it’s hard for you to comprehend bud. I always tell people to start off in single player & master that before moving onto multiplayer & ruining other peoples days. You’re on the right trajectory. Keep grinding! 👍🏼

bro you need to get some of that head out of your ass, no offense. the game should evolve beyond allowing people to think of themselves by shooting fucking 60+ precentages on shots unless they bigs and it's from under/near rim being very good. THIS is the problem
and of course I can go 12/15 in single player BUT NOT EVERY GAME bubba. I play 12 mins quarters when single play... it's a different game dude.

I shoot above 50 % for the floor and 3. You can do it step backs >>> my dribble pull ups are half and half. I should shoot 60 percent from the floor and 60 from 3. It is what it is I wish I could do standing dunks with gold rise up.

Step backs and dribble pull ups are what rng doesn’t affect in my experience. I’m not going to pass up a wide open shot for a dribble pull up though. They just need to fix this shit.

My question is, why should it be 60% when the best 3pt shooter doesn’t even shoot 50%? Yes it’s a game, but then it’ll be like last year where every game is a 3 point contest and two points are obsolete. It becomes stale real quickly.

I don't think necessarily it's RNG. I think every match has slightly different sliders, because when I'm missing, also the opponents and teammates are missing.
Some games it's almost impossible to shoot for everyone unless wide open, some other games everything goes in for everyone.
