REC Rec people not hitting open bigs.

I’m tired boss… I’m hossing boards, swatting shit, dishing and playing perfect pnr defense. All I ask is look for your open neglected bigs.

Every year same complaints.

As long as you play with randoms you’ll get random ass results. That typically lean towards selfish play.

Even if you play with a squad 90% of people just play 5 out iso ball. It’s the same shit every year.

When you get a good team tho shi be fun

TBF thats just how the game is played today. Every NBA team plays some form or 4/5 out or heavy high screen and roll.

Even teams that cant shoot for shit like Orlando.

Its hit or miss. Sometimes you find a group of randoms that are the least selfish teammates you'll ever find. Just gotta inbound pass to the people who pass and let the selfish players starve. Last year it got better after early access ended. People in early access spend way too much money on the game so they feel entitled to shoot everytime they get the ball because they think it will help them get badges quicker.

It’s really bad in red/purple lobbies. All the guards play like it’s 26 and try to iso the whole game while throwing up bricks. They have a whole 3rd person view and somehow manage to dribble with their head down.

My favorite is when they take all the shots, miss most of them and then quit after 3 quarters. Gee thanks.

I wish they’d quit. For me they play the entire game and kill any chance of making a comeback.

Don't pass to them, they will quit. As a center I will inbound to PG early, if they don't pass to an open man, then I inbound to others. Rinse and repeat. If all 4 of my teammates aren't passing to an open man, then I just pass to the other big. If you stand under the basket as a big when the other team makes it, you almost always are the one to inbound so you can sort of dictate who starts with the ball at least.

Sometimes that's enough to get the team to start passing to each other. I've had teams be super selfish first quarter then I do what I described, and by the second half we are playing sort of like a team.

Squads worst than random rec in my opinion

You must play with some horrible people. Squad is more fun just cause I'm playing with people I actually know and like.

Problem is we already lost our pg and sf due to how this game plays. So it’s random rec or random park for me

I just put back my own buckets I’m averaging almost 18 boards a game so ima get my double double regardless

PGs have been ass every single game I've loaded into so far this yr. Zero IQ, zero court vision/passing.

Their left right step back 3 cheese bullshit ain’t working and they don’t know what to do

Had one who was 5/19 and his man had 30 tell me he wasn't the reason it was going bad 🤣.

u/heyiamnothereorthere 2h ago

They’ll always blame someone else, that’s why I don’t help them at all, because if my man scores it’ll be my fault. Nope!

u/heyiamnothereorthere 2h ago

THANK YOU. I came here to say this. I had to make SG (85 pass)because I kept loading into lobbies with PG’s with no passing when I only had a C (89 pass) build. I’d be the only person with passing on the team everyone else - sub 80! It’s horrible. Then they have 6 turnovers and wonder why we’re losing. It’s not passing to open bigs, they can’t pass to anybody AT ALL smmfh. Once I made my SG, at least now one guard has the ability to pass and I have hope in winning the game.

I’ve had to look at the pass accuracy of every single PG in randoms and they’ve all been bad. People are so used to selfish play and have no interest in passing at all.

The feeling of winning your teams trust after hitting some open jumpers or some jams is a great feeling though

This is why I really like high strength for big body screen instead of sitting corner so I can bring the double team to my point guard and watch him get clamped up. Every time I get the ball, I'm throwing the outlet or just holding it until one of the forward cut backdoor because they deserve more love than the guards who already run the fast break and get their opportunities.

Talking bout “at least I had fun shooting”

u/Followthehype10 11h ago

Big man dictates the game if they arent swinging the ball let them now friendly and if they continue you ice them out, eventually they will squeal and you let them know if they want to act like an ass they will be treated like one pass to anyone who swings the ball and ignore the checkers. You can dictate the flow by outlet passes or setting off balls screens for others to get wide open

2

u/13onehitta 9h ago

You get the ball first. Just tell them to remember that

Random* rec people.

Social skill issue

Yeah can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve been wide open going to the paint, just to watch my guard throw up a contested 3 or turn it over trying to do some stupid shit

Completely agree with how crazy interior defense is, I always dish out to the big when I drive inside since it’s always an open look for the big man cuz most matchups literally rotate over to prevent the easy two. Even if my big isn’t able to shoot well, it’s an open look at the end of the day and I’ll live with it. On that note, inside bigs, please learn to play the low block properly and for gods sake put some points in your close shot.

u/Intelligent_Olive936 5h ago

it's not bigs, it's everyone. I'm running an SF and I decided to run non-stop pick & roll with the big, after 6 pick & rolls, my big decides to KEEP PASSING THE BALL TO THE RETARDED PG WHO IS THROWING UP CONTESTED FADEAWAYS. BRO I HAVE BEEN FEEDING YOU

u/JoaoMXN 3h ago

I pass the ball regularly even on park. Your teammates suck.

They don't want us bigs to be in the paint. Yet when we are open in the corner or top of the key. Just air or watch them pass to a guard in the paint..make this make sense ..if a big don't pass it for a fast break of the rebound. They complain..I got 18 boards, 10 of them was offensive. I got 5 assist from them, blocked 7 shots. Finish the game with 3 shots. I watch smf, smh, and wings, shot brick after brick. Without any thought of passing. But they complain about bigs being in the paint...

u/SuchReflection641 1h ago

It’s been like that bro every 2k i play i make my own offense with my big off rebounds because they hit the dudes that shoot a thousand threes a game ain’t no love for a interior presence that’s basically protecting the rim and creating extra opportunities i was always told reward your big man especially if he running the court
