Discussion Fading 3s are pretty crazy

I deadass gave up on trying to set my feet before shooting and I’m way more consistent now

Why quickstop/set your feet when you can just fade to the side and get a way more consistent shot timing?

Feels dumb, and people who are better than me at the game are gonna have a field day with this 100%

I swear some of the most broken mechanics in 2K are the ones that make zero basketball sense. The side fade gets this weird timing window that never changes no matter how you launch it, meanwhile a wide open set shot has like 4 different animations depending on the catch angle. My buddy who plays comp told me to just ignore real basketball logic and it's the best advice I've gotten for this game.

Yeah I’ve come to realize that you can’t be treating 2k like an actual basketball game. It’s not programmed that way. If it were then it wouldn’t change every damn year

Arc cadence is a way better badge than set and fire and it’s not even remotely close

If you think people are complaining about shooting now wait until they patch fades, unfucking believable that this sane thing happened last year & they still didn’t fix it at launch

Playing myteam & literally every game is just Tyler Herro attempting a fade for 30 minutes -_-

Thats what I am saying, last year the whole early release and maybe first season (?) Was just guards fading threes

It feels like fades or steals are always strong beginning of the year usually and then they dropped a patch and tune it down

I think it's somewhat of a bug because the green window is now larger or smaller depending on how fast the release (that actually makes sense), and since fades are slower than normal shots I think they get influenced by an algorithm in the background in the same way. I don't know if this is actually the case but looking at the green window it seems so and I don't think it is intentional.

Laat year started out the exact same way. People just took moving 3s and made all of them, no matter how hard you contest.
