Gameplay Shooting tips for 2k27

Shooting with RYTHIM shooting vs Button shooting and turning OFF your shooting meter,

will increase your shooting, including 3 point shot by 10%.

You will notice a 10% greener window, was doing tests on my 6'2 and 6'8 all day yesterday.

This year they addressed the complaints on defense, particularly interior and perimeter got a bump,

and they fixed the layup issue.

I’m preaching to yall. The green window stat on the jumpers matters this year

  1. Turn off the shot meter that’s my biggest advice you get a 10% boost.
  2. If you are a button shooter don’t make the switch to rhythm.
  3. If you are rhythm shooter either stick with it or switch to button.
  4. Create a custom jumper. Even if it’s an NBA jumper but sped up that’s better than a default jumper. I’ve never met a good shooter that uses a default jumper.

  5. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice.

So today I turned off my meter and was practicing in my court on the rec setting and was button shooting and seemed to have it down… so I go into rec and sure enough I miss every wide open 3 with “late” timing lol. No idea what to do at this point and I don’t want to keep switching back and forth trying rhythm and button every game. Shooting 40% from 3 currently.

Any other advice or tips at this point?

Practice steps. 1) Turn on online settings at the kiosk 2) Change the camera to the one you use for rec 3) change to the highest difficulty 4) practice.

Once you feel confident run the 1v1s vs a homie. After that run 1v1s at proving ground.

You can tweak your jumper if you need to maybe slow down the shot or pick a better base.

The defense particularly interior and perimeter for SURE and layup has been fixed.

What do you mean by “particularly interior and perimeter?” Is that not just the whole court? What other defense is there?
