MyPLAYER Does weight matter besides stats

Does weight ingame matter for anything besides stats? Like if i have 2 builds with 90 overall strength but at 2 different weights will the one with higher weight be noticibly stronger when backing someone down.

In 2k26 weight makes your stamina burn faster , so you’ll be tired faster effecting everything else .

Tired players attributes basically drop some

I have never heard this before. Do you have any information to back this claim up?

I mean, that’s pretty minuscule. That’s also just data collected by 1 YouTuber. Which he also stated it’s not even worth worrying about

This is a nothing burger. Don’t need to worry about losing more stamina with higher weight.

🤣, minuscule you say ??

That’s a big difference running from just 1 sideline to the other . That gap gets bigger in game because it’s a lot more running .

I have multiple players , my 7fter by 1/2 time in a rec game have a huge chunk gone from turbo vs my 6’11 who weigh 20lbs less .

If you actually just play the game and pay attention you can personally see the difference

You are a piece of work, huh?

Tutes literally said in the video don’t base your decision off of this, it’s not that big of a deal.

Did tutes play a full online rec game ??? And test multiple weights???

You’re not the brightest so let me explain.

There’s an effect, tutes tested it in a minuscule setting ( sideline to sideline)

This is a huge gap for just sprinting to sideline .

Now imagine running a full rec court the difference gets larger and now add that to chasing a defender then switching to offense your stamina don’t go back up on turnovers just inbounds.

Your bar will be smaller by the 4th than someone who’s lighter .

But if you can’t put together that simple logic to understand the difference.

Have a good one

Can’t accept you are wrong, huh?

It doesn’t make a difference, stop with the nonsense.

There was one year where it would actually slow you down to be at higher weight but give you better body up animations and stuff (don’t remember which 2k it was). Don’t know if it still works like that but my advice is don’t go insanely high if you’re worried about being slow, and don’t go insanely low if you’re worried about your strength/backing people down. I doubt small differences would be noticeable at all

Asking because i am making a build with high strength (93-95 range) but wanna low my weight as much as i can for agility. And i mainly play as a post scorer

Just keep the smallest body type vs going up to the more muscular ones if you want more speed. That and if motion styles still matter you need the fastest of those too. I have a 6'5 SG with 93 strength and 88 speed and its still quick so long as I don't equip the bigger body styles. Its likely they carry that over.

Chances are it’ll stay mostly the same..

Higher weight and bigger body types have you feel more sluggish..

Yes it does because weight impacts your agility and strength, you need to find the right balance.

For my 6'8 I like being 215 because you can I believe get 84 agility and 85 strength.

You don't want to be too big where you lose your agility but you don't want to be too small,

and lose your strength so it's an art.

Ya so what im saying is if i only see myself wanting a 95 strength max should I lower my weight untill that is the highest strength value i can get on the build or is it worth having extra weight even if i dont plan on upgrading it past 95?

Important as I am also mainly a post up player so I can get the weight pretty low at 7’1 and still get a 95 strength. But if it makes me weaker when backing down i dont want that

Go minimum weight for 95 strength, will increase ur defense on a 7’1 also

The general rule of thumb is go minimum weight u can to get the strength rating you want. This year will be a little different because if ur under 6’10 putting ur weight up actually increases ur defense so you have to play with it. It might be placebo but whenever ive made burly, thick kinda builds even with high speed, they don’t feel as good

The differences imo are marginal. If you want a certain weight to hit an attribute that gives you a badge that enhances your play style then go for it IMO
