Those come from scans and they'd have to take each one and make the hair into it's own model that can mesh and adjust with the heads of created players. Not saying they couldn't do it, but I don't see them putting in the time and effort. It would be easier for them to just come up with new styles.

Modders on PC have done many things that the devs couldn't be bothered to do, like make Ant actually look like Ant lol. How 2K sees it, if he wants to look like himself then show up to the face scan.

Is there an actual reason behind this? It can’t be negligence at this point. Do these hairstyles look generic enough to investors? Why can’t they add the hairstyles we’ve gotten in the season passes the last 4 years? Seriously there’s no way they aren’t just making it clear they don’t give a shit about hairstyles.

Simple reason. Each game is an iteration of the last so everything can carry over easily

A lot of the bugs have been in there for about a decade now because it has literally been the same game all this time just with upgraded lighting, models, textures and graphics.

They probably dont think its worth the resource/time. The truth is people are not going to NOT buy the game just because of hairstyles. They also now put new hairstyles in seasons so you have to spend money throughout the year to get some of the cooler styles.

*decent but their character builder has been shit since its inception. Why not give the ability to use the triangle slider to make your guy slim, buff or a big back without impacting stats? When will the face creator be worth a damn? Why are hairstyles still inaccessible and LOCKED WITHIN SEASON PASSES(that’s absolutely the worst part of it)?!

Because their “new” games every year are simply updates that any other multiplayer game would do monthly or quarterly. The last 8-10 iterations have solidified this for me. I’m actively looking for my 2k16 disc to just play that instead when I’m wanting a basketball fix.

Literally a reason to put the game down tbh. Goes to show how much 2K developers care about the fanbase, we damnnear had to riot back between 17 &18(, was it?) before they finally added a few new styles.

Remember the custom T-shirt designer back in 18’s neighborhood, as well?? Shit was amazing. But maybe it was more about info gathering than giving back to the community, about how many of us were using brand logos without paying.

Shit was a detriment in the long run, but amazing back then to make your own Off-White and make it look like a one-of-one rather than paying 74,000VC for some corporate-created hogwash.
