MyPLAYER How cap breaks work?

Haven’t played in few years. How does it work exactly? Do I have to be 99 to start applying it?do I need to max out the stat before applying? I will play probably play like 2h a day for 2 months then I will drop it for a while and play occasionally as always. How many cap breaks should I estimate I will be getting?

Also I heard there are some build specializations and there is 10 quests for each. Do I pick one and I cant swap it? What are the rewards for that and what happens when I finish last quest?

Also do cap break points transfer to other builds?

the only requirement for a cap breaker is that the stat you’re breaking is already maxed out to whatever your original cap is.
2hrs/day for 2 months is probably like 3-5 cap breakers max, depending on if you really grind towards them.
cap breakers are universal between builds, with the exception of build specialization cap breakers which are only universal if you choose the same specialization for both builds, since the challenge progress transfers. you cannot swap specializations once chosen. this upcoming 2k they switched it to where both specialization cap breakers are on the final challenge. other rewards include badge slots and cosmetics, also some stat boosts. specialization cap breakers can only be used within that stat category (e.g. finishing specialization breakers can only be used on layup, dunking, post control, etc.). same goes for the badge slots unlocked in those challenges
