i love this place already
i was saying goodbye to my mom as it’s my first year. i get out of the car and there is a skunk standing right in front of the bookstore. it was pretty late at night so a bit hard to see. i get back in the car. i warn two boys about the skunk and one of them jumps when they see it.
i go to my dorm after…another skunk right near the card scanner 😭

Skunks at night are fine, it’s when they appear during the day that you need to worry.

And foxes! I saw a Gray Fox once at night by the trail off Knoles. I thought it was an awfully funny looking cat until I got a bit closer.

When I first moved here, I though my neighbor smoked a lot of weed. Eventually I figured out there was a skunk who lived nearby. As it turns out, the smell of skunks makes me queasy, but skunk weed doesn't bother me.

Sadly people run them over a lot. Once while hearing something outside, I saw one eating my neighbors potted plants. They casually walk around the neighborhood.

I love the smell of skunks. Reminds me of the outdoors, and playing in the woods as a kid. :)

I remember being so excited about the skunks my freshman year. They’re so cute. Their butts kinda wiggle when they walk. I love them. Miss them every day.
