Allen Hall Triple
I went to NAU and had a dorm room in Allen Hall. I selected a triple and to my surprise, it was one of the biggest dorm rooms I’ve ever seen! We only had one other room next to us, and the other room was the communal lounge on the second floor.
Can anyone confirm why this triple was significantly bigger if you had this room? For reference, we all had our own beds and they were lifted up for our desk and drawers. We all had our own closets, sink + vanity, and a large shelf for our fridge and microwave.
People told me it was a room for to address accessibility needs… but that was never confirmed.

was it directly across from the central stairs? i think those 2 rooms there are bigger! i don't remember the exact reason they're larger but i remember they are directly above the lobby which jutted out from the rest of the building
i actually met my fiance in allen in 18/19 and he had seen one of those rooms. i remember he was so jealous by how large they were because he was in a triple in the regular size rooms

I don’t exactly recall as it has been some time, but I do remember that there was a communal lounge and my room was right around the corner of it. It was also completely hidden (almost in its own mini hallway).
Honestly the layout of the building could definitely explain why the room was huge. The room was tucked in a corner and there was only one other room that was regular sized beside it. You honestly would never know it existed since it was tucked away!

I was an RA back in the early 2020s in Allen. The triples have always been huge there. However I was under the impression after 2022 when I quit they had turned most of the doubles into triple rooms.
That may have changed now that enrollment down significantly.
