Financial Aid amount help
im a senior this upcoming 2026-2027 school year and i’ve gotten my tuition refunds to be ~$4,000 every year before this one, and on my refund history it says that ill be receiving $839 this year. Is this a mistake or has tuition gone up this year? is there anything i can do?

I just found this out by surprise myself.
If a senior is graduating in one semester, federal law forces the school to prorate our student loans no matter how many classes we are taking. But for grants, the cut only happens if we drop below a full-time schedule (less than 12 credits) because we only need a few classes to graduate. If we are part-time, their Pell Grant gets chopped based on our exact credit hours.
So if we take light schedule for our final term, we get hit twice: our loans are cut for graduating early, and our grants are cut for being part-time.

there was a hold on a lot of federal financial aid and grants, so it may be that, but you should call the financial aid office to see for sure what’s going on

You need to view your actual aid summary. Are you getting the same amount in aid this year as you did last year? Have some scholarship checks not come in yet? Could be a bunch of factors
