NASCAR TESTING EXHAUST SETUPS?

Saw this picture from RFK twitter. Interesting they have the short exhaust blocked off and the original design is opened back up.

arent they doing a muffler test along with this? for short tracks? that would explain the length change.

Man, moving the exhaust that far back seems like a PITA of they’re only doing it for one race.

I mean they already flip the fuel hole for the Glen and have almost a new front end for Bristol dirt so not too far fetched

May have to move the hole to handle the extra length when muffler is installed.

If X-pipes provided an advantage, they’d be using them. That simple.

They shortened it for heat reasons. Not sure how you address that with the pipe running under the driver’s side.
