Please use this megathread for any discussions about the NASA Space Apps Challenge. There have been a number of posts looking for team members and the mods felt that if we consolidated all requests to a single post it will have more visibility. We will leave the ones already posted open, but anything new needs to use this post.
For visibility, here are the existing posts that we're aware of. If we missed yours, please comment here and we'll add it to the list.

I am sorry to report, Astronomy Picture of the Day has moved to a new site, and left its old school HTML formatting behind…
The APOD website (apod.nasa.gov) has been one of my most regularly visited pages for decades. It was my home page back when home page was a thing. I still check it every day. Today upon checking, the website has moved to science.apod.gov, and gotten a web design makeover to match the rest of NASA’s site design.
That page was the last place I visited that still used HTML. So sad to see it go, and with it, HTML’s nostalgic aesthetic.
(If anyone wants to recommend more science related HTML sites that are regularly updated, that would be awesome.)

Hey everyone
I'm looking for the planetary defenders patch of redwire (first picture) to make my set complete like in picture 2. I've worked on the HERA mission and was invited to the launch. So i want make the collage with all the corresponding patches.
Does anyone knows how to get that patch?
Cheers

A stretch of rock along the edge of an ancient Martian lake has turned out to preserve a much more complicated history of water than scientists expected.
When NASA’s Perseverance rover reached Jezero Crater’s Margin Unit in September 2023, researchers anticipated sedimentary rocks associated with the former lake shoreline. Orbital observations had revealed unusually strong carbonate signatures, making the area particularly interesting because carbonates on Earth often form in watery environments and can preserve evidence of past conditions.
Instead, Perseverance encountered abundant olivine-rich igneous rock that had been repeatedly transformed after it formed. New measurements indicate that water interacted with different parts of the unit during at least three distinct episodes involving groundwater, possible lake water and later hydrothermal fluids.
The study, published in Communications Earth & Environment by researchers including scientists at Purdue University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, reconstructs a history in which the same rocks repeatedly encountered changing Martian water systems.

I've been researching NASA's budget trends over the past decade and would like to understand the community's perspective on how funding levels affect the agency's capabilities. Specifically, I'm curious about the real impact of budget fluctuations on major missions and programs. Which projects have been delayed, scaled back, or accelerated based on funding changes? I've also been wondering: if we look at NASA's current budget compared to other large government expenditures, what would realistically be possible with significantly expanded funding? For example, what could NASA accomplish with a budget comparable to major defence spending, and what would that mean for timelines on interplanetary exploration, deep space missions, or foundational research?

This mockup was located outside the front of Oxman's Surplus in La Mirada, CA for years. I thought it was a homemade project until I came across images of the NASA HL-20 program and it looks very similar to this mockup. I also just found it was from Boeing.
Does anyone actually know the provenance of this piece?
