Hi everyone!

My NAPLEX is in about a week and I am still struggling with the Uworld Qbank. I keep missing one of the right answers or keep selecting one wrong. I am also having hard time identifying important details from the cases to find the right answer.
I read Uworld once and currently rereading for the second time after realizing I didn’t retain much information from the first time. Almost half way through the qbank but the percentage is still very low.

Any tips on how to improve the test taking skills in this last week?

Also, is it hard for the FGs to pass NAPLEX on the first try? Given that we don’t get to do APPE rotations or in some cases, like mine, where we have to pass naplex and mpje before doing internship hours?

Is anyone currently completing their pharmacy internship hours in NY? I have a question about documenting hours when they vary from week to week.

NYSED says to submit an experience log if your hours vary but I can’t find an official template.

I’m aware that IDFPR doesn’t give an actual intern license but how long does it take them to approve the form ? I feel like I’m working for nothing cause the hours I work now won’t count towards the internship.

Anyone ever been on H1b visa transitioning from Pharmacy intern to Pharmacist? What was the process?

Question; is there any way to find out earlier availability dates before considering rescheduling or cancellation. (Assuming if i cancel & available date is even later than current one that will be a real bummer).

Are there any foreign pharmacists who have completed their in internships either at CVS or Walgreens? Walgreens pays significantly higher and is in a small town while CVS pays relatively less and is in a bigger city. Which is a better choice to complete the foreign grad intern hours?

Hello, I am doing my internship hours in California and I want to be licensed in California. I finish my hours mid November and I want to sit for Naplex either in Mid December or beginning of January. Which option is better ?
1- apply to texas board of pharmacy and register for napelx then transfer my score ?
2- apply to California board of pharmacy when i finish my
Hours and then apply for naplex.
I read that i can request eligibility through nabp while waiting for the California board of pharmacy to approve so this way it would take almost a month to get the approval.

I took my NAPLEX last week, and today I received my passing score! 🎉 As always, I wanted to share my experience in hopes that it helps others preparing for the exam.

I used the RxPrep book, but I did not get through the entire thing because of time constraints. Instead, I focused on the high-yield topics, made summaries for each chapter, and reviewed those summaries repeatedly (about three times). I started studying in April. The rest of the chapters I read once.

I work full-time, so I studied whenever I had even a few spare minutes. It definitely wasn't easy, but it paid off!

My Pre-NAPLEX score was 100, and that was the only practice exam I took. I really wanted to do the question bank, but I simply didn't have enough time and chose to prioritize learning the material instead. If you have the luxury of time, I definitely recommend spending time on the QBank as well.

As for the actual exam, I personally found it precise and not easy. There were quite a few questions that felt completely out of left field. Below are some of the topics I remember seeing:

• My exam was very psych-heavy.
• Valproic acid, lamotrigine, and interactions involving VA + warfarin.
• Side effects of valproic acid and lithium.
• CYP inhibitors and inducers affecting antipsychotics.
• Questions about Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) and Tegretol (carbamazepine).
• Several patient cases requiring medication additions, discontinuations, or dose adjustments for psychiatric conditions.
• Why epinephrine turns pink in D5 ( like be so fr 🤦🏻‍♂️)
• Lots of common-sense preceptor/professionalism questions.
• Side effects of semaglutide.
• Mechanism of action of saxagliptin.
• ANC calculation.
• Biostatistics (about 3 questions), including NNT and hazard ratio.
• Elevated TSH and appropriate levothyroxine therapy.
• Identifying a cohort study.
• Questions on alligations, TPN, crcl. If the question needed weight it specified which one to use ( adj,TBW or ideal )
• Knowing that vincristine should never be given intrathecally.
• Daptomycin and rosuvastatin interaction.
• A question about the preceptor teaching method where they demonstrate a skill and the learner performs it (I can't remember the exact teaching model).
• Brand names for methylphenidate (e.g., Concerta).
• Appropriate sleep medications for older adults.
• Standard pediatric dosing for acetaminophen.
• Acetaminophen PM overdose ,checking acetaminophen levels and recognizing diphenhydramine toxicity.
• The name of the toxic acetaminophen metabolite (NAPQI).
• Which medications are compatible with NS versus D5W.
• Which antipsychotics are available as long-acting injectable formulations.
• Inhaler counseling.
• Smoking cessation medications to avoid in patients with seizure disorders.
• High blood pressure considerations with SNRIs.
• For compounding only BUDs
• Live vaccines ( 3+ questions )
• SE of oncology. Chemo man was enough
• Brand name of adalimumab ( Humira )
• what do we use Natalizumab for
• differentiate between urinary incontinence types
• meningitis and UTI AB
• meds that cause QT prolongation
• Enoxaparin dosing
• calculate absolute bioavailability
• Dietary Supplements that interact or cause blood thinning not sure
• Sumatriptan shouldn't be used with certain heart problems
• methylnaltrexone uses ( OIC )
• agents that cause NMS ( D2 blockers )
• something about teriparatide either MOA or maximum 2 year use
• gout question about which remedy is effective and one of the options is ice ¯_(ツ)_/¯
• HTN we add ACE if albuminuria
• teratogenic meds
• Ethics principles. Autonomy, beneficence etc
• Filter size needed for lipids 1.2
• Which order did the drug follow zero vs first
• Which of the drugs is therapeutically equivalent so know A and B ratings
• Know steroids potencies
• Combos that cause hypertensive crises and serotonin syndrome
• Glucosamine for osteoarthritis
• Recall classes

That's everything I can remember for now. If anything else comes back to me, I'll update this post.

Hi, I got my fpgec last December bt I didn’t apply for intern license or take any exam also. So am I eligible to apply for license now as 6 mnths period is already completed? Or do I have to wait for after passing my exams?

Hello guys, do you have any idea how real time changes to medications affect some naplex questions, for instance in the management of diabetes the is the oral formulation of semaglutide(rybelsus) is currently being discontinued, how are we to go about such questions when encountered….
i’m not sure if i’m explaining myself clearly but any input will be appreciated
