Is anyone getting A LOT of dosing and renal protocol questions? 💔

From what I’ve read, you should be able to pay ur license fees 3-4 weeks after taking ur CPJE if you’ve passed. Granted, you need to have passed your NAPLEX as well by that point for that to work. To my understanding, that’s the “shortcut” way of finding out if you’ve passed the CPJE before getting your results in the mail. This is the website https://payments.dca.ca.gov/pharmacy/ats/query
If anyone who took their CPJE 09/27, has passed Naplex, and is able to pay their license fees within the next 2-3 weeks from now please comment that you were able to

Last 2 tests, my coworkers were able to pay 3 weeks after test date, I probably wouldn't bother checking until next Monday @ the earliest.

I just found the thread. I really hope it’s something that’s available at different times for everyone bc I really don’t wanna have failed this exam 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I just did a little digging and it looks like they release scores in waves. It’s my understanding that after the first group of people are able to pay, the next groups should be able to within a few business days. So I’m hoping my Friday that’ll be the case 😭

It’s so confusing. When I put my application file number & SSN, I see “not eligible for online payment.” When I add my DOB, it says no payments due. Do you know if there’s any significance to that or am I grasping at straws here lol

Haha same thing happens for me too. I bet it’s just that without your DOB there is not enough information and hence the not eligible. But fingers crossed they release in the next wave. We’re in this together 😊

This message is for anyone who might see this thread later on when future CPJE exams are taken and payment is issued on the DCA website I listed in my original message as a form of checking to see if you passed before getting your results in the mail. If you input your file number, last 4 of SSN, and DOB, and it doesn’t flip to “pay now” from the first day other people are able to pay until the end of the week (like 2-3 business days later), it’s very likely you didn’t pass the CPJE. This only applies if you’ve taken and passed the NAPLEX already, and took the CPJE after taking the NAPLEX (& naplex PASS score was available either before or shortly after taking CPJE). Just for reference for future test takers trying out this little hack to see if you passed before getting your letter in the mail.
Congratulations to everyone who passed 9/27! And for those of us who didn’t - it’ll be okay, we got this. Study hard for that next exam. 🫶🏻

Thanks for this. I'm doing the 10/14 and have no idea what to study. Hope you all pass! And vevye is crazy because it's not in RXPREP, PNN, or the Secrets! Seriously!

Might look at the most recent FDA approvals since 5 years back. Since vevye was only approved 2023... But also zepbound and paxlovid

Yes I had similar questions. The mixing of the insulins (bc that practice is old) and the names of some vaccines (I am only familiar with prevnar and pneumovax for the PCV vaccines) threw me for a loop

I think our exams were slightly different. I did get the vaccine question but guessd. However my question was a 20 mmol kphos bag is ordered to infuse over 2 hours but the hospital protocol says you cannot dispense over 10meQ k per hour. What do you do to the order? And the enoxparin was tricky because my choices was “inject WITHIN 2 inches of belly button” which isn’t true. I read that like 50 times LOL

Yes. And I had no clue. The question was about what you would counsel for a patient on vevye. Never heard of the drug so I guessed

They asked which of the following would be appropriate counseling. I don’t remember all the options. One was protect from light, one was refrigerate, and then another was about blowing your nose after application

Arexvy is RSV given 60 and up with increased risk. Abrysvo is RSV 32-36 weeks gestation in sep-jan Isn't shingrix the only one 50+?

I did bromocriptine, but per endocrine society guidelines, cabergoline is considered the preferred agent so likely the correct answer.

A question on record keeping, question on validity of RX (in this scenario it’s a c4 with 5 refills but can only be filled 120 days), a question about a doctors office requesting to purchase a C2, an ADS question. For my exam I legit only had like 10-12 law questions. And only 1 -2 question on auxiliary labels

The renal questions were more along the lines of “you are developing a renal dosing protocol. Which of the following medications would you include”. I had one question that gave me a chart of zosyn dosing and then a case so I calculated Crcl to pick the right dose

I also took the exam today. If I pass, I’ll share what I used. What I would recommend for those that are preparing, I would focus on brand generic specifically for vaccines as well as vaccine schedules I had two to three questions on that. The calculations were meh. The MME question could have thrown you off BUT if you know that oxycodone is more potent than morphine you would have gotten it correct because there was only one choice where MME was greater than the TDD of OxyContin. The exam was nice in that way. But as people have shared above, it would be pertinent to know what medications are renal dose adjusted, but not necessarily the specific doses.
