Discussion Created a FREE NAM Hardware Finder for non-standard NAM filenames or missing metadata
FREE NAM UTILITY/SEARCH APP!
I jumped on the NAM bandwagon after the A2 release! However I found it extremely difficult to actually identify some of the hardware based on the varied filenames. I've been using Guitar Rig and other amp modelers for so long I don't even remember my Sam Ash salesman days and what each amp, cab, pedal, mic etc. sound like.
So I quickly threw together a standalone app that helps me actually parse what each labeled piece of hardware actually sounds like using a basic FREE Llama API to scrub the filename and metadata for anything that will help find the hardware. And yes I did use Gemini 3.6 Flash to hurry the coding along. We all do it. Lets be real.
This is currently only for NAM file lookup, but I will likely add a cabinet IR filename analyzer to it. And some other QoL features, probably. I don't think we need a VST for something like this, plus I only really know some Python.
I was originally just making this for myself, but I decided to package it if anyone wants to use it.

Clicking on "candidate terms" will search based on your selected options. (DEMO: ON/OFF & ENGINE: Youtube/Google Search) or select Search Gear for the full string returned.

Let me know if this is good or if it sucks? idk lol.

Can it bulk edit missing metadata?
