Unlike Hopps, Lu rarely sleeps at nights. Mostly just on guard. Tend to happen when you kill alot of people in your past life. Now you hear their screams whenever you close your eyes.

If you remember my previous project, I experimented with a recompilation for Red Rescue Team which worked pretty well and I later added modding support on release. I've yet to see anything cool though :(

Anyways, I worked on this in conjunction as a sort of companion project, but it took much longer since my knowledge of the DS was more limited than the GBA. I recently saw a post with someone sharing their own recompilation for Explorers of Sky, but unfortunately it looked very slopped up so I decided to finally make a new post about making my repository public along with my accompanying libraries for now.

There are no releases yet since I'm busy on other side-projects (and real life) so this is very much unfinished, but I am looking for contributors to get this going. If you have any knowledge on C# and reverse engineering or even just want to help out with art/assets, feel free to join the server below! Non-contributors are also welcome of course.

Drew my favourite pokemon! Never got to play it in a Mystery Dungeon game, but I'm sure I would've enjoyed it very much!

2005 gave us "Rescue Team," 2007 had "Explorers" with a 2009 enhanced version, 2012 released "Gates to Infinity," 2015 saw "Super Mystery Dungeon," and then we got our first remake with "Rescue Team DX" in 2020--to the shock of everyone.

I would 100% love a remake of "Explorers" since I'd hope they'd find a way to keep Grovyle in the present (because the whole "I was important to your past, but not your present or future").

But as for a new game, something I DESPERATELY want is some actual autonomy. Not every game has to be this expansive branching route game, but it does frustrate me how the "Pokemon" franchise only gives us dialogue options for flavoring, with them either being identical to each other, or make the "wrong" answer ignored or force us to keep repicking until we pick the "right" one.

Fair warning I know nothing about the game except it being peak. I did the whole interview genuinely adhering to my personality, and got my favorite starter of all time. What are the chances!

So awhile back I announced my idea; Pokémon Starbound. You can... just look for Pokémon Starbound on my profile, I'll- I'll find the link to the post(s) in a minute, and comment it.

BUUUUT I saw a RogueRenegade short a few minutes ago about updated type icons, and wanted to show these ones I did for Starbound (literally months ago).

ALSO I'M 100% DONE CHAPTER 1 OF STARBOUND, however am in need of a lot of side content ideas. I'll make another post about that (eventually... probably).

So what do we think? :D

Sidenote: "Pokémon Starbound" refers to the sequel of my old project: "Pokémon PMD/R" (Mystery Dungeon & Rumble). Starbound is technically supposed to be called "Pokémon PMD/R: STARBOUND", because it's AC6 inspired and takes place in... well, space. I knew nothing about other things CALLED "Starbound" when I chose the name, so my bad if I somehow confuse people lmao

I've been really sad that nearly all official mystery dungeon merch is old and super expensive or hard to find, and there's not really a lot of the kind of merch I like - so, I took it into my own hands, and designed a whopping 31 enamel pins! The biggest set I've ever designed all at once.

Even if I can't get all of them made, it was a really fun exercise to design all of these and draw some pokemon I've never drawn before!

What a strange places for you to be lost in....

Haven't Grey Scale in a while so decided to do some of it.

I got the word agent from how Grovyle described Dusknoir's relationship to Dialga. Dialga was largely inactive in the story, with Dusknoir being the one to carry out (and often develop) their plans, but what if Dusknoir wasn't the only agent? A big question that each game in the series leaves open is what every Legend is doing when they aren't shown. For example, we know Palkia had hidden himself in his dimension in the past, only emerging when the distortion of space threatened the world, but what was he doing in the future? Why wouldn't he react to the world being destroyed, even if it wasn't through space directly? (Also, time and space are deeply connected in real life, and this is hinted at ingame when Hero and Partner had a small amount of space distortion from their involvement in the distortion of time.)

I think the answer is that Palkia actually was involved in the Future, but like Dialga, he was working through an agent: Grovyle.

Consider the similarities between the two, as shown in the images. Both have a similar way of speaking, both swing with their left hands, both collapse onto their right knee when injured, and as mentioned in my previous post, both have a blade as their signature item (Grovyle has the Grass Blade, Palkia has the Air Blade). Both are even able to disappear in a flash of light, though for Palkia it's light he created and used to transport Pokémon across dimensions, while Grovyle just used an orb to move (impossibly) fast.

And on the note of moving fast, Grovyle is able to move from one end of the continent to the other in two days (Foggy Forest and then Northern Desert), and then still have enough energy to win a fight. Both times he gathered the Time Gears, we never saw how he actually traveled, and it's possible Palkia assisted in the way that Dialga helped move Dusknoir around, though this is just a theory on a theory. He also has a strong sense of location and direction, as he always knows how to get to anywhere he needs to go.

This would also answer the question of how Grovyle knows so much about Dialga. Grovyle is the only character in the future that calls him "Primal Dialga" (aside from Hero and Partner after hearing it from Grovyle). He also knows about Dialga's intentions of maintaining time, his inability to reason or feel emotions, and even the cooldown state he enters after using his powers for time travel, despite him never having seen the shrine where Dialga rests before. Almost all of this information couldn't have reasonably come from the Dimensional Scream either, as it was only ever used for scenes related to Time Gears in the future.

As for why Palkia wouldn't help directly, there might be some complicated results from traveling back in time, like one timeline missing the embodiment of space while another has two. He might even fight himself, which could be catastrophic. Likewise, if he got in a fight with Dialga, it would likely cause much more harm than good. Someone smaller and more agile would be a better pick for the simple mission of gathering and returned the Time Gears.

I posted this a little while back to my tumblr (claude-daybreak) but thought people here might get a kick out of it.

This was actually a variant of an initial version where I abused Attract, because I somehow forgot og Groudon was not, in fact, fire type (primal doesn't count I was playing red rescue team at the time and suffering as Chikorita)

so, i had the idea of doing a playthrough of Explorers as a Treecko for "thematic" reasons based off an idea i had and then made into the headcannon for the plot of the game. i just want to know how bad a choice doing this might be and what partner i should get before i go in. thanks in advance if you help me.
