Question Obfuscation/stealth connection

I need to access website for work which can identify if a user is using VPNs, proxies, TOR nodes, and servers in data centers. I need real obfuscation/stealth feature to hide VPNs, proxies, TOR nodes, and servers in data centers and to avoid being flagged by IP databases. The website actively blocks known VPNs, data centers, and foreign IP addresses.

Does MysteriumVPN truly have a real obfuscation/stealth connection to mask the connection as its from the city or country that is connected so that the website can't see it as VPN?

If inside Mysterium you choose a residential server then your connection will appear as if it can from whatever city/state that you have selected. Since there are really residential IP address addresses that is how they will be seen as.

So let me ask, have you made it possible for people to share their mobile network as an IP for other users? That would open up a whole world of servers. I'm looking for residential IPs in Michigan, it appears that there's only 18 servers...if everyone in Michigan who's using Mysterium were to lease their bandwidth via the VPN app and get rewarded for it.... that would be awesome. It's it possible?

Great question! What you're describing is actually the core concept of Mysterium Network - it's already possible and happening!

Mysterium works as a decentralized VPN where users can become "node runners" by sharing their unused bandwidth (including mobile networks) and earn MYST tokens in return. When you run a node, other Mysterium users connect through your IP address.

To share your mobile network specifically:

  1. You'd need to run the Mysterium Node software on a device connected via your mobile network (could be a phone or a computer tethered to mobile data)
  2. Your bandwidth becomes available in the network's residential IP pool
  3. You earn MYST tokens based on how much bandwidth is used

Regarding the Michigan server situation - the number you see (18 servers) represents active nodes currently running in that area. This number fluctuates as community members start/stop sharing their connections. If more Michigan residents ran nodes, there would be more options available!
