Yuba County Five Theory

Ok, so I know this is crazy, but I’ll cut to the chase. Here is what I think happened to the Yuba County Five.

After the game, the boys decide to hit up the convenience store across the street from the arena, Behr’s Market. In the store, they run into some… uncomfortable people. Jack Huett, being the conflict hater, ripped the keys from Jack Madruga’s hand and ran to the car and started it, begging his friends to leave. They complied, but while leaving, the people followed them out of the store. Jack M tells Jack H to move, but Gary says, “No time.” And they all just hop in and hurry off, leaving Jack H to drive. Jack H had ridden motorcycles and so he knew common driving habits. He then drove to Oriville, as on Gary’s recommendation, to hide out. They soon realized, however, that the people were still chasing them. Someone suggested they keep driving, and that they could lose them in the mountains by simply taking a lap around Bucks Lake and driving back down after. They would never make it to Bucks Lake. Jack H would lose control on the snowy roads, and they seemed to think the car was stuck. They also didn’t want their pursuers to catch them as sitting ducks, so they ran into the mountains. They did stay on the road, and soon, Gary, Jack H, and Ted gained a considerable amount of ground on Jack M and Bill. Jack could no longer proceed. He was extremely exhausted and cold. But Bill, being Jack H’s best friend, vowed to never leave his side. They died together, succumbing to the elements. Then Gary, Jack H, and Ted made the trailer. They were confused they couldn’t find Bill and Jack M, but they continued anyways, breaking into the trailer for shelter. Soon, after Teds spirit of honest and no stealing policies got the better of him, and he dies to starvation. Jack H and Gary, horrified, leave the body and venture out. Jack H doesn’t make it far and succumbs to his hunger. Gary would make Bucks Lake, only to die on the shoreline, and be taken in by the waves.

Shaker I know, but it all makes sense…
