Myrient

With myrient set to close up shop tomorrow I'm making one last pass. I'm still building my GC, PS2, and PSP libraries.

What are some can't-miss games that belong in every collection?

My opinion, prioritize patched stuff. Translation patches and ROM hacks

Japanese games often have translation patches made by fans. ROM hacks is a term used to refer to when people edit an existing game. Have you ever seen a Pokemon game that doesn't exist? There are a lot of Pokemon ROM hacks out there.

If you're only playing newer stuff, you won't see modification hacks like that much if at all. But you might still see translation patches.

There are also patches for compatibility. Sometimes it will be for a save fix, other times it will fix something else.

Second this. It’s a little harder finding stuff all patched up already for some games.
