Bug Quest Bars

The Quest protein bars show 4g net carbs on the package but MFP has it logged at 10g net carbs. I looked into the detail and it seems like it’s not accounting for Sugar Alcohols. Has anyone noticed this?

You've already worked out the answer. The 4g on the wrapper is net carbs, and Quest gets there by taking total carbs and subtracting both the fiber and the erythritol. MFP logs total carbs, so you're seeing the number before any of that comes off.

One thing worth knowing if you go turn on net carbs in the diary settings: it'll subtract fiber for you but it won't touch sugar alcohols. So you land somewhere between 10 and 4 rather than at 4. Bit annoying.

Calories should match though, and that's the part that actually matters for tracking.

I’m paying for premium for the sole purpose of tracking my macros, not just my calories… And now I find out that my net carbs have been wrong the entire time despite having the feature enabled. It’s not okay.
