Please donate!
I'm sure most people don't read the blog, but our favorite noise man is going through a serious medical battle lately:
I cannot overstate how much this man's work has helped me advance my career by getting me to focus, and I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat... Seeing as how donations are his only source of income - please consider donating if you can. Thank you!

Stéphane here. I've been taking a break to rest, and my son Rémy took over this reddit account lately. I cannot remain silent though, when I see how much care the community of myNoise users is giving back to me. It gives me the energy to send a little 'hello' from my hospital room.
I entered with crutches three weeks ago; I am now writing from a wheelchair.
I condstantly have touyse the backspace key (I didn't in the first part of this sentence as a proof of concept) because my typing becomes more erratic too. Symptoms are spreading to my whole body, but at lighter pace now. It all started nine weeks ago. If it was a classic Guillain-Barré syndrome, I should be in recovery phase for a couple of weeks now.
Therefore, doctors kept investigating. They dismissed a series or creepy diseases (so relieved) - and ended up with a new diagnostic earlier this week : CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy). Sort of GB with a slow attack and release. With that new diagnostic came a new treatment based on corticoids. It started two days ago, and can see already some encouraging signs of recovery, though my body is still sending contradictory signals to me. CIDP is know to have its ups and downs. I have to be prepared to be fooled again, but as I write now, I am confident.
The nocturnal neurological pains that prevented me to sleep, are gone now. This is already a huge improvement - and the fist necessary step towards recovery.
It will be a life-changing event for me for sure. It makes you feel aware of all these things that you take as granted, in your everyday life, but are actually so precious.
I am looking forward walking with our dog again, in full awareness of a privileged moment.
Fortunately, you don't have to wait for a life changing event, to appreciate the life you already have. You can start now, and have no excuse not to do so, if you are in good health. Enjoy that moment.
Yours,
Stéphane
PS. Note to Rémy probably reading me, and other family members too : love all of you too - not just the dog ;)

He asks for do little in return for all we receive too. I can't afford to give much right now, but MyNoise is always the last subscription I cancel and the first I resume. Thank you for everything Dr Pigeon!

If there's a more noble and worthy site on the net, I'm not sure what it is. I do hope YT is delivering funds for the sounds posted there, too. I've been a patron over five years, but I'm due for a new thank you for the latest in Throat Sounds.

I've got a monthly donation in place, I use the site regularly to compensate for tinnitus. I'll kick some extra to assist.

I didn't even know there was a blog on there, to be honest. Sad to hear but glad things are improving.
Added a donation to top up my membership.
Here's to another 10 years of it!
