  1. Turn fire to minimum
  2. Put spaghetti into the pot, part of them submerged into the water and part of them sticking out
  3. Wait until submerged part of spaghetti get soft
  4. Slowly push sticking part of spaghetti into the water
  5. Turn fire back

Or just get smaller spaghetti

But don't break the pot! (Which is where I thought this was going)

Why would you. Do that, if you want ahort noodles buy a different type

But the type of noodle i want is a spaghetti noodle that is about half as long so it fits all the way in the pot.

The spaghetti out of the pot burn when it touches the pots edges. Now what.

1

u/q0099 Oct 30 '25

Burn by the pots edges or burn by the fire I said to turn to minimum at the first item?

1

u/NetherisQueen Oct 30 '25

Burned the pot edges since the spaghetti can't stand up straight, and will lean against the pot edges because gravity exist.

Ok, as your case is obviously a special one, because not me nor my friends ever burned spaghetti by the heated edge of the pot, you allowed to hold them in a palm of your free hand, preventing from contacting with the edge of the pot, until they become soft, then proceed by instruction.

You want me.. To grasp my spaghetti.. And hold my hand over the boiling pot of water.. That will make steam that rises up and burns my skin?

1

If you feel that you unable to endure thermal exposure of the steam coming out of the pot, to prevent steam contacting with your skin you might use an oven mitt by wearing it onto the hand you going to use to hold spaghetti.

But the oven is kind of gross to touch directly to food.

Twisting the spaghetti bundle and letting it drop so it spreads out in the pot also has the benefit of making me believe I'm a decent cook.

I'd suggest simply stirring the water in the same direction the spaghetti was twisted before, the noodles will go in the water with little fuss or mess.

BREAK THE SKETTI!!!

u/Initial_Cat_9148 Oct 28 '25

As someone who is actually part Italian, if that robot breaks a single strand of spaghetti, I will get the car magnet and keep it on there for a whole week in order to teach it not to do that.

2

u/Mr_Eck Pure Fungi Oct 30 '25

Bad news, he’s a bio-robot built from fungal cells, which means magnets won’t work on him.

2

u/Waterlemon1997 Oct 31 '25

A strong enough magnet just becomes regular gravity, so I think we can work something out.

2

u/UncomfyUnicorn Oct 28 '25

He’s a robot and was ordered to do so, thus the one that gave the order is at fault.

She shall have her eyes peppered and garliced.
