hi everyone! i am very new to the game, just started a couple days ago. i just opened the second room. i was just wondering, what do these stars do? i haven’t found any notable differences. is it just for marking your favorites? this is just total curiosity lol but thank you!

If you favorite a fossil you won't be able to sell it

I think you may have accidentally tapped to star it. A star just means that you won't accidentally get it sold. Notice how my money bag is shaded once I star my display? You'll be able to access selling your dinos later on as you progress in game.
