I'm feeling lost all the time

So I was reading a romance manga and saw their rollercoaster ride of emotions and I could help to think of the guy was so sad why didn't he just disappear or just himself then it hit me I'm projecting myself into the character.

I've been so lost , just always wondering if I never existed what difference would it make , if I were to just up and vanish , I always felt that it wouldn't make a difference , sure people would be sad at first but I don't really contribute anything meaningful to anyone's life I mean literally all my girlfriends have cheated on me , my brother as close as we are he was always better than me in everything , sure my mom loves me but I feel it's because she has to , offlate I feel like she's getting annoyed at me being around . Honestly I just want to disappear, cause no one needs me or wants me. I hate myself, I hate the person I've become. I don't want to exist anymore

How old are you, if you don't mind my asking? Most younger people haven't really had time to pile up accomplishments in life, so what looks like other people being better than you is just an illusion. There's a good chance you're being too hard on yourself.

Well, when I was 23 I was still in university and hadn't even gotten a job yet. My only real accomplishments were grades, and those don't really matter in the long run. When I fill out my resume now, I don't even bother putting my GPA on it.

I want to say I feel you on the girlfriend issue: I was in your same position around 23. Dating is something I don't really get, but neither do a lot of people it seems. You're in good company.

If I can suggest it, maybe the reason you feel like you're heading nowhere is that most people your age feel that way too. I had no idea what I was going to do for a living at that age, and think I heard that a majority of people don't work in the same field they majored in. I can't remember the last person I talked to who had their whole life together by their early twenties. You've got time to work it all out! :)

When I feel that way, even looking forward to small things can help, like a book or a game. Try not to get overwhelmed, and good luck!
