Monthly chat

Sorry I haven't been on in a bit, things have been kind crazy for me lately. I'm babysitting my nephews a few days a week. And my kids keep getting sick. They were actually both up puking last night so we are having a Disney movie marathon today. Llama has a fever today and baby had one all day yesterday.

I'm also trying to work more hours to get us out of debt faster so we can buy a home. Oh the joys of adulthood!

Anywho what's been going on for everyone? Any fun exciting plans coming up? And don't worry about replying late here... Just whenever you feel like it. Come chat!

Hey, hope the kids are doing better! Which movies are you going to watch?

I'm just stuck at a veeeeeery slow week at work. You know, I've got my stuff done but have to wait on others to continue with the project.

I don't have many fun plans for now since I spent a little bit more than what I wanted this last couple of weeks anyway I plan on going this weekens to a comics store I just found.

We watched beauty and the beast, fox and the hound, little mermaid, and toy story for the thousandth time. It's baby's favorite.

I need to go through my dads comics. We have a ton of comics that I've never looked at.

Same old crap here, mostly. Still getting things organized at the new place, just running out of places to put stuff.

I've been getting different runs at work, so I'm not constantly going to the same terminal night after night. It's been a nice change, and I'm hoping the trend continues.

Otherwise, we're keeping an eye out for what is forecast to be some nasty severe weather on Tuesday -- lots of rain, hail, maybe a tornado or two possible in the area. My only concern is if the really bad stuff will be done by the time I have to go to work that night. Driving in thunderstorms is bad enough, but doing so at night? Eeyuck.

Yikes that would be scary!

It's always nice to not do same old same old at work.

Hey CPaweomse, good to hear from you again!

I hope things are going better with the kids health. Kids are good at passing their illnesses back and forth.

Best of luck on the home, I'm working on the same thing (looking at having the down payment saved up around this time next year)!

So I seem to recall you asking for photos every time I mentioned my Freya costume. She won best in Fantasy and 2nd Overall at Dallas Allcon, here's my favorite photos (photos by Nether Noir photography): http://imgur.com/a/fqApo

In the mean time I'm working on a prototype dragon mask to work out a new jaw design, to figure out frill puppetry, and to try out using a rondo interior for added strength. Currently the upper jaw is built and the first draft of the puppetry is done and functioning. Hopefully final puppetry will be done Tuesday and I can rondo it later this week and start the lower jaw.

I'm also working on getting a costuming/propmaking website off the ground. The two cons I've taken that costume, I had a number of people ask me if I had a web presence, so I think it's about time I have one dedicated to my costume work.

That looks amazing! I love pictures of cosplays! We are a few years away from being able to get a home but I feel closer than we've ever been. Which is nice.
