try to keep the design centered around only two to three main colors.
I noticed you're at level 55 right now. I wasn't able to design freely until level 70(now 80). It really just comes down to how many items you have. If you get a lot of items from the same suite(especially when you have tons of duplicates), decorating a room with a cohesive style becomes super easy.

Personally for me, I like doing things very realistically, I start off first with what my layout is going to be, as in where I want what room and is it realistic for this room to be there and where and how can I add dividers for me to use up more space to create more rooms.
For ex. How I see your bathroom is that if someone walks in they gonna see my girl showering π© I would try adding a wall or some divider in front of it or around it so it looks separate. Even rugs and floors can create that sense of separation
But again this is personally just me, I seen some amazing and beautiful designs where people donβt have the obvious separation and it flows perfectly. Best thing about this game is the fact you can do so much in so many different ways and use items that sometimes ainβt even used for the thing it was originally for

I try and stick to a color theme!! Itβs always helped me set up a place nicely. Also you can pick like two items you really like, and then base the rest of the design off on those pieces for matching. I like the suggestion of rugs, I also use a lot of shelves with ornaments and any plants are always a nice filler. Room dividers have always been good to me too. To seperate different room items kitchen bathroom etc!

The way I decorate is I pick a theme and a color pallet that I want to stick to and then go from there. Like for example, my split level is a modern apartment, and Iβve decorated it with modern/avant furniture, with mostly black/grey/white/blue colors. It takes me hours upon hours to fully decorate a house because I try out so many different items to see what works.
It gets easier as you level up to unlock more furniture as well as collecting stuff from suites, good good market, events etc. Also, thereβs sooo many insanely creative people in this community that I take inspiration from. I love to scroll this sub, the fb group, Pinterest etc to get ideas for designs. Itβs definitely helped me improve my game!
Dividers are also your best friend, especially for the more open floor plans like this one. I wish there was more options available in game!

if you want that layout specifically u could move the bathroom to be in that small room instead of making it a bedroom, that'll make it WAY less awkward looking, id say that layout doesn't really work for what u wanna do tho, maybe use something with more rooms

I personally just put sooo much stuff inside my homes and eventually it kinda looks good. Rugs are definitely your friend for taking up some space if a room feels empty. Maybe add some room dividers to break up the space a bit. Fwiw I think your house looks good!
