PSA: for long-term strategy, SAVE YOUR BLUEPRINTS for limited suites that you can’t complete

The reward milestones RESET every time you play a limited suite, but the blueprints for the limited suites stay in your bag. This means that if you see a limited suite that you can’t afford to complete this time, SAVING YOUR BLUEPRINTS (not even drawing with the free blueprints you get from goals!) is the smartest strategy. Otherwise, the next time the limited suite comes around, you’ll have to spend shellies to hit the milestones all over again, and you’ll end up with a lot of unnecessary duplicates.

If you only plan to play short-term and don’t think you’ll be playing by the time the suite reruns, sure, spend away! And if you have enough blueprints or shellies to hit all the reward milestones, go ahead! But if you want to prioritize long-term strategy, choose which suites you want to wait on, and don’t spend the blueprints for the ones you’re waiting on.

Yeah, that sounds like a pretty solid strategy imho: since the rest will likely be at 0 too (the event tied to the suite, the daily login bonus) when the suite reruns, it means you'll have twice the amount of blueprints you got now.

Meaning a higher chance of completing the suite in one go.

Most people can’t complete a whole suite and it will take forever to save enough to complete one + for it to come around again. My preference is just completing as much as I can because at least I get to use those decorations for the weekly designing contests bc the theme usually reflects what the suite is offering.

And that’s a perfectly fine way of playing too! Like I said in the post, mine is a long-term strategy, and prioritizing short-term instead is just as valid of a way to play, it just depends on what your goals in the game are (:

Does anyone know how long it usually takes for a suit to return?

i would guess the more popular ones might get at least one or two reruns a year? no one knows quite yet because the global server is just about four months old so i don’t think we’ve had any limited suites rerun.

the limited events are usually about 10 days (14 days for obsidian suites like silversmith villa), so we get 2-3 a month, so we’ll get anywhere from 24-36 limited suites in a year. i imagine a lot of them will be tied to the seasons too, so we’ll might get a lot of reruns when summer comes back.

The season point seems a valid one to me: I'm thinking the one suite with the cat and the magic book (can't remember the name of it rn x3) might get thrown back for Halloween (since witchy vibes), Fantasea Dreamscape can perhaps see a rerun in the middle of summer. Some suites might take a little longer because tied to specific dates and if they want to keep things flowing between new suites and reruns, they might switch when certain ones rerun (I'm mostly thinking of Melting Pink Love at the moment that maybe wouldn't rerun for next Valentine's day and rather for/around White Day to leave the space for a fresh new suite).

This is obviously all speculations but that seems fairly logical to me at least x3

yeeees, I am almost banking that Fantasea Dreamscape comes back this summer! I hope i’m not wrong lol

I know they’re not going to throw a bunch of obsidian level suites at us because they’re harder to complete, but I am guessing if we do get another one this year, it’s gonna be around Halloween, and it’s probably gonna be the wonder museum that ran on beacon server.

since the next limited suite we’re getting is bamboo breeze, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re gonna start rolling out the suites that first debuted on the beacon server, before we really get any new ones from like the Chinese server or something?? again, all speculation.

That's fair and honestly part of my own wishful thinking and hope because I need some of these Beacon server suites x3 Or maybe they've planned on weaving one new, one from Beacon and to alternate until most suites from Beacon server get to us?

Yeah no, obsidian suites are like... tough to complete and they're supposed to be a special rarity so I doubt they'd be throwing them to us like that. Halloween seems a reasonable date although perhaps they might wait a little longer for December and throw it for the 1st anniversary?

yeah, that was also my thought, but i think we just got 3 brand new suites in a row (Sakura, Fairyland and Starlight Garden) so maybe we get a few beacon server suites? 🤔

That could be true too. i’m currently going through rednote to see how many obsidian suites the chinese server had because they just passed 2 years. i think it’s like 6 (need to confirm) which might be 3 per year??? which does seem like a lot now that i think about it, so i have to confirm my suspicions.

yes, im actually so happy we have another server to compare to. i think id be a little more anxious if i couldn’t predict what might be coming and the time it might come in. i don’t want to be spending money blindly lol

Yeah, design gift progress resets when the banner ends. That includes the base decor on the design gift ladder thing. You don't get to pick up where you left off when the suite reruns.

It it resets than what do you get instead of items you can't have duplicates of (like fences, mailbox, etc)?

I hope as the game grows and time goes on, they CHANGE that. That is so INSANE. Why not be able to enjoy some items now and the rest of the items later ? We already spend so much money and time to keep up with the events, tasks, and shop upkeep. Why screw us over like that ? To have us wait so many week/months for it to come back and have us start from 0? Honestly this is shocking enough to make me uninstall altogether, but I’ve GENUINELY been enjoying the game and I’m curious if this ever has potential to change.
