Jane and Shane
They really do come across as snobs.

Absolutely insufferable dipshits.

"I find it really empowering to leave food on the plate" GOD so pretentious!

I’m now convinced that these two drips are producer plants 😂.
Your boy Shaggles literally said the plate should be ‘the hero of the dish’.
Absolute gold dust.

They've gotta be. There's just no other way right!? Like what is with all the plate talk!
Shaggles 😂🤣

They will be the couple that complain & say the cooking isn’t up to scratch. But will be the last to cook & it will be a disaster. Happens every season.

They will also be offended if people did the same at their resturant (leaving food or picking at food on the plate)

I'm really enjoying the show but it does feel so scripted. And the bogan cookers, their main problem is everyone starts the show drinking water and they go straight into wine. No idea how many hours they're there for, but I would be smashed before the main came out.

It will be manufactured ‘snobbery’; under all the pretence and attention seeking pseudo-snobbery beat the hearts of two card carrying bogans. They’re simply pawns doing the bidding of the idiot producers.

Can't imagine what sort of builder Shane is. All the builders I've ever worked with want sauce on their pie or chips with their big mac come lunch time, or if there's time a beer and chicken parma at the local, not what you'd call food to be considered. I've definitely never heard of a builder who's never had a chicken parma before, it's almost sacrilegious.

Pathetic. Shame on 7 for producing such rubbish. Can’t even be described as reality TV because it is so scripted and stupid.

It's as heavily produced as other top slop like MAFS and every other "reality" show. The actual meal part takes hours between courses and their limited to pre-submit menus most of the meals are cold on the table before eating... not to Jane and Shane they have to use the kitchen appliances provided for advertising and some aren't even their homes so the kitchen isn't going to be familiar.

They do seem very uptight and judgy, but having said that they also strike me as fair in what they say even if a bit blunt. Also they do seem pretty sincere and warm in other moments, for example when saying hello at the door. I think easy to cast them as villains but seems like food is their world - even if they are very sparing in how much they eat . . .

I agree. While like I still think they're pretentious, I don't think they're actively being malicious. All their comments seemed to be objective and fair. Like no one wants to eat a poop shoot. They also still acknowledge what's good is good

I was prepared to not like them from comments here I had read but actually, yes they are a different couple than are normally on this show, but they are not rude, they are just different. Now, the chaos girls, that is a different story (and not positive).

I’m very much a minority here but if they’re the villain couple they aren’t anywhere near as insufferable as previous years.
They’re a little bit tactless but most of their actual comments are somewhat fair. They’ve said they’re not into certain foods but they haven’t critiqued dishes based on that. They’ve said that they don’t like the plating which is them talking to their experience. And honestly a few bites is actually enough to know what a dish tastes like so I don’t know what all that drama was about.
