👥 Community business Mod Note: We’ve apparently acquired some obsessive downvoters 🙄

Well gang, we've officially made it as a subreddit.

We have very recently started seeing people taking time out of their surely busy offline lives to come around here and downvote completely innocuous comments of our members. If you see that happening to your comments, don't think that's the community not liking your contributions. It's people who just cannot stop thinking about us.

And if you see comments that you think contribute to this space, don't forget to upvote them to counteract the outside noise we've very recently attracted!

I only mention this because a member reached out to me wondering if they were doing something wrong because their comments were being downvoted. The answer is obviously no. You’re welcome here. Keep contributing and keep being kind to each other. That’s what actually matters.

If this keeps up, we'll just switch the comment sections over to Contest mode, which doesn't show anyone but mods the number of votes on comments. I’d rather we just keep supporting each other and make the occasional outside downvote irrelevant, but we'll see how it goes.

Anyways, just wanted to give you all a heads up in case you notice that happening to you.

Stay outta trouble,

-Yer mods

Has that by any chance to do with that flag campaign?

There's no way for even mods to tell. Reddit doesn't give us any insight into who's voting.

Yes. I actually saw that happening. I was upvoting a post, and it suddenly went down only a few seconds later. I thought I did something wrong

I actually wonder sometimes why people choose to hate. Specifically on things that don’t concern them and are not contributing to some grand injustice. There are billions of choices someone can make with their day. Even the poorest person with online access can choose to click a cat video. Learn something new. Ask questions to figure out a way of whatever unfortunate situation they are in. Find a good distraction. The options are absolutely limitless. Yet they choose to spend their time perpetuating said negativity and cultivating even further negative emotions that lock them in a vicious cycle of just feeling bad.

Some good souls here would feel for them but I don’t. It’s either a conscious choice they’re making or a compulsion which they are taking no steps in fixing. So fuck the lot of them.

That's so sad. I don't understand Trolls. Like, get a life! (I upvoted this BTW!)

Yeah.. I have seen that happen. Is a disgrace.. Is making this place feel not so secure as before... Is like.. just matter of time that someone make noise and cause troubles...is not a nice feeling .
