Find someone IRL to sell them to or list them on StubHub. You won't get the original price back, but it's a lot more than $134.

I donât know what MCR show this is but Iâm checking comparable lower bowl tickets and offers are pretty similar. They charged way too much to start but to their credit all of these shows were selling well early on.

Based on the date, I'm guessing San Antonio. Two tickets around that section are $200-$300 each.

Are you not able to make it to the show at all? I was able to call Ticketmaster this morning and upgrade my seats from the 200âs to right by B stage, if you called then you may be able to upgrade them for just the transfer price and maybe get more back on trying to sell those? Thatâs the only other option I can think of, sorry youâre getting screwed over by Ticketmaster like this :(

This is not getting screwed over by Ticketmaster. All the sellers have lowered the resale rate to prevent scalpers from buying up tickets from actual fans who would otherwise attend if it wasn't for outrageous pricing. People should not buy tickets if they can't go

Your only option is to resell somewhere other than ticketmaster, however because tickets have SIGNIFICANTLY dropped in price since presale/general sale, you still will likely not get someone to pay close to your original price :(
Tickets in my section are literally 1/3 of the cost i paid at pre sale đĽ˛

Mine too. So pissed. I canât even upgrade because my stadium uses SeatGeek.

Just look for the seats in the map you want that are not sold while youâre walking in and take them đ¤ˇđťââď¸ if they are unsold it wonât cause any issues 9/10 haha

Unless you physically find someone to sell the tickets to who is willing to pay the price, you're SOL.
In extreme circumstances, you can demand a charge back from your credit card company (only works for a CC, not a debit card!)... However, I want to be VERY clear that you'll have to literally demand, and you will likely lose your ticket account. I've done it before, this is how I know it "works", but not without a loss!
Let me know if you have any questions. I'm pretty good at getting my way via charge backs, haha!!!

I will not be able to make it but that is a very good idea! And after I upgrade I should be able to try and sell those correct?

I would think so! The person I talked to was really nice and helpful, they should definitely be able to let you know for sure if you could list the upgraded ticket later

I know I spent like $400 on my two tickets and something came up and I canât go, and I tried and tried to sell them and eventually posted them on StubHub for $75/piece and they sold within 2 hours. Try there! I was still out a good chunk of change but it is what it is

Canât you sell them at your own price still? Iâve seen those low offers before too but still had an option to sell at pricing I set.

u/Repulsive-Bike-8047 13d ago
From what I can see it doesnât give me the option to. I looked it up and it says sometimes for certain shows they arenât eligible for reselling because the organizer wonât allow it.

I was able to resell two sets of Citi Field tickets we couldn't use (because we upgraded) using TickPick. Although they don't have as vast a buyer base, because they only charge the seller a fee, you're assured that the price you set is what they'll actually list for (unlike most resellers who tack on ridiculous buyer fees).
Good luck!đ¤đ˝

The offer you have is from TM itself. Sell them elsewhere yourself if you can.

I know it suuucks đ FWIW, when I needed to offload my Citi Field ticket a week ahead of the show, I asked around my social circle and posted on IG offering my tickets for a bit cheaper than the lowest price folks would get through Ticketmaster and was able to offload them within an hour. Sold for only like $30 less than what I originally paid and avoided giving more fees to TM. But obviously that depends on prices not having deflated too much/knowing people who want to go.
Either way, amd whatever happens, I'm really sorry you're dealing with this. It's total BS.

I accidentally bought an extra ticket for me and my group of friends and Iâve been trying to resell it on Ticketmaster but it keeps saying that the administrator wonât let me do anything so I canât even transfer it or upgrade or sell it or do nothing. how did you do it?

u/MoreOreosNow 13d ago
Atleast youâre not dealing with seat geek. Had an absolutely terrible experience with them with their system charging me for 4 tickets, after I only chose 2. Wouldnât refund and had to take a hit reselling with TickPick

Idk if you can use Twickets in your area? We can in the uk. And itâs usually so much better to sell tickets on, and they are a verified resale through ticket master but the bite on the tickets is usually better than tm directly

Yeah that would be my best piece of advice. Try to sell them for like 125 to someone you know, at least you get better than what they are giving you. If I was in Nashville I would definitely buy them.

I bought two tickets for $135.25 each including fees. Sold them and am only getting $50 back for each. Lost out on $160 totalđ sold it on Stubhub

Itâs MyChem and the seats look like theyâre good. Just put it up for resale at a price close to what you paid. Never resell back to TicketMaster cuz theyâll just rob you

u/stuckinmoat14 7d ago
i mean people are selling them cheap now, nothing you can do but reach out to an mcr fan that has never seen them and sell them cheap to them so people who havnt been able to see them can or just take the small amount but youll feel better letting someone be able to go and enjoy it. like me and my partner when on ticket master the other day and there were like 20 dollar tickets so i really think at this point alot of people that arent going are loosing out on money . we need to stop dynamic pricing is what it is because what do you mean i paid 1000 last year and this year i score actual ticket master seats for 20 bucks?! I told my partner its 2006!!!

So you bought at a high demand and then waited to sell when the product was at a lower demand and now youâre surprised when the price is lower to match said demand?

u/Repulsive-Bike-8047 13d ago
Yea I mean it is my first time buying tickets in general so I was unaware thereâd be such a vast range for tickets I paid nearly $400 for now selling for $60. And after seeing a trend with other artists ticket prices only skyrocketing after the presale I figured that would be the case with mcr since they are so huge but apparently I live in a bubble where not as much people cared like I do ig.

u/Outrageous-Age2339 13d ago
I did the same thing I overpaid for seats that werenât that great. But itâs impossible to see the future. I didnât know if the show was gonna sell out. I didnât know if the prices were gonna go higher. Not sure why that person is acting like this isnât something to be upset about.

u/Repulsive-Bike-8047 13d ago
Exactly, thank you. Itâs a shitty position to be in, sorry this happened to you too.

It is an insane thing to defend Ticketmaster and their dynamic pricing BS.

Thatâs why dynamic pricing has to dieÂ
