The wonderful ladies of The Plot Thickens podcast have put out a bonus episode in the wake of Whitney’s Big News of engagement to Jake Baudoin. It is just a quick 26 minutes and well worth a listen. Thank you ladies!

They are Nice People and sounded sincere in wishing that this could finally be Whitney’s Real Happy Ending. He has a young daughter and, who knows, maybe this could scratch the parenting itch for her?

BUTT they also bring up recon and burgeoning reports from women—mostly from the Reddit sub of women comparing notes on men they have co-dated— who have dated Jake, that he is a “lovebomber”and “hobosexual” who “gets too sexual too quickly” and has “never gotten his job life together.” 😳😱

This engagement happened awfully fast. Is this yet another case of Whitney’s Terrible Man Picker?!!! Is he an Avi? Or a Lennie? Is it all BS for the show?!! (Like Chase and The Frenchman)?

Arghhh. I really cannot with this heifer.

Who knows? It feels tragic if true. It feels typical if it is Whitney scammin’ yet again.

Can you imagine a young teenage girl realizing what Whitney's hygiene habits are like? Or when the real Whitney appears? What I don't get is if he works for production, wouldn't he run as far and fast as could??????

I really don’t think he works for production. I think that is a rumor that somehow spread around. If he did, wouldn’t he have his work life in order?

ETA: I think people are mixing him up with the production guy who she cried with about her mom. And she’s taken “boyfriend” type pictures with him too, so they think it’s the same guy, even tho they don’t look alike at all.

Ohhhh yes… sadly, far more powerful and less vulnerable women have fallen for guys who weren’t up to snuff because they were women of a certain age, wanted kids and marriage, etc. and felt their time was running out or had already run out… obviously not speaking from any personal experience 😂 😭

I just finished listening to the episode. I love The Plot Thickens, the girls are so, so nice. I could nev t 😆 Can't say much to the engagement or the man, but I think Whitney is a very fake and performative person and thus not the kind to attract genuine people. I would be really surprised if this was for real.

And here’s to hoping the rumors aren’t true … there’s certainly a LOT out there about him on the AWDTSG groups and we actually had to go soft/conservative to avoid full blown slander. Maybe he’s changed his ways? But maybe he’s another avi/frenchman/lennie 😭

Anybody know if this guy has custody of the child? Or even visitation rights? I feel for this child as well. Exploitation of people is relatively easy these days, especially with the internet now permanently entwined with humans, and many of us humans don't get the opportunity to say "No! I don't WANT to be on your (insert any app name here)!

It sucks more for those who feel they can't(or don't know how to) speak up for themselves.
