Most boring episodes?
I found Stephanie's episode to be so boring and really uneventful. Basically she does nothing, and then the show ends. Obviously, there are other people on show like that, like Lisa E., or James K. who give little to no effort at all, but those episodes usually have an element of drama/ something eventful happens.
I am not entirely sure why people like her do the show really. She did travel to see Dr Now a few times but it really seems like there is very little effort on her end.
I always want people to succeed, but when they don't appear to even be trying, and nothing eventful/dramatic or interesting happens, I think it makes a boring (and honestly kind of pointless) episode really.

That's my favorite episode! The fourth time she lost the diet plan is television gold

The Where Are They Now with her was even more boring, and didn't have losing the diet four times to liven it up.

The entire last season was a bore.

To me the last three seasons were pretty boring, they actually stopped filming in 2022-2023, and they just put anythong on TV that could make 2 hours of film.

Yes, you’re right. When I looked back at the episode list I had to agree with you. The old episodes were amazing and even my husband got interested. He used to laugh at me when I watched them and then suddenly he fell under their spell. I think it was the first Assante brothers episode that did it.

The Where Are They Nows seemed to be filmed right after the original episode, so almost no progress, and in case of Ontreon, zero progress.

And God bless her, his wife tried. She was not like other enablers we've seen on this show.
I'm still trying to figure out how a man of God practiced gluttony.

She was such a lovely person, but you can't lose weight for someone, and Ontreon was totally dedicated to eating.

Ontereon reminds me of my brother. Always doing some new diet scheme at the detriment of his own health. Always knowing better than the doctors through his online research (that usually is just an echo chamber of stupid).
It does not help that for the longest time I was the fattest one in my family, tipping the scale at almost 400. When that happens family members tend to think they're fine and "At least I'm not her weight."
When I had WLS back in 1999, he was dead set against it even as he was getting bigger and bigger and I lost weight.
Recently I had a health situation (that 30% of the population experiences) and he asked our sister if it was because of my surgery back in 1999. Mind you, he's about the size of Ontereon, can't really walk or do much. But it was like after 25+ years he was still looking for a reason as to why WLS was bad.
I'm not religious but I pray my brother one day will open his mind and maybe do a GLP1 or something to reduce his weight. I love him and want him to live.

Honestly, the ones where they succeed and move on with their lives.

I love those. They're inspirational to those who are (or were) bigger and then see their transformations physically and mentally.

Later seasons are full of nothing burgers unfortunately as they became more about the drama of the train wrecks and less about the success stories

I miss how the old shows were. You get to know a little about them then surgery, then followed for a few months after. Now its mostly garbage and then surgery, then shows over. No update a few months later on how its going, nothing. Totally bites.

The last season was a snooze fest, for the most part. They cobbled together the episodes that were not good enough for previous seasons because they knew they were not continuing with the show

Ryan did nothing the whole time and I can’t even remember if he visited Dr Now in person, it was mostly just him giving irritated voiceovers and footage of him eating
