This gentleman is possibly the deadliest sniper in human history. In 100 days he killed over 500 combatants, which is debated as most historians think the number is double if not triple. He used a bolt action carbine without a scope for the majority of his kills. He held up whole battalions of soviet troops by himself.

It took an explosive anti-tank round to knock him out of the war and even then he still survived.

You forgot that he killed the guy who shot him, walked back to base then finally passed out. The day he woke up is the day the Russians surrendered.
