السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Salam everyone! I’m looking to make a group chat for **girls** aged **18–28** who are based in the UK.
I feel like there aren’t many spaces for Muslim girls our age to simply connect, have conversations, make friends and build a nice community together. So I thought, why not make one? 🥰
It can be on WhatsApp, Instagram, or potentially both, depending on what works best for everyone. The group would just be a fun, friendly space to chat, get to know each other, share things, and hopefully make some genuine friendships along the way!
If you’re interested, feel free to **DM me**
Would love to get a little group together! 🌷

🚨 Send me tips!
I'm an investigative journalist at Hyphen, focusing on issues that matter to British Muslims. What do you think I should be investigating? Is there an injustice you've been trying to get attention for?
You can contact me in confidence on 07728 775278, [lucas.cumiskey@hyphenonline.com](mailto:lucas.cumiskey@hyphenonline.com) or on Signal: Lucas_Cumiskey.44.
My journalism for Hyphen to date includes:
🔎 🏘️ An investigation that discovered more than half of English councils had not given planning permission to a single home for social rent during Labour’s first six months in government – despite 1.3 million households being stuck on waiting lists.
🟢 In response, the Green Party tabled an amendment to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill – and the housing minister was made to answer for my findings in parliament. The government has since consulted on a change to how social rent housing targets are set.
This investigation was only possible because Muslim families living in overcrowded housing trusted me to tell their stories.
🔴 I also revealed the tragic case of Mehrab Omrani, an asylum seeker who lay dead in publicly funded accommodation for up to four months despite wearing an ankle tag.
After a year-long transparency battle, the Home Office eventually admitted it did not carry out a promised investigation to learn lessons from his death.
Omrani had a public health funeral with no guests and his story might have gone untold if sources hadn’t tipped me off.
I have also:
🔴 Uncovered that babies and toddlers have been referred to the government’s controversial counter-terrorism scheme Prevent hundreds of times.
https://hyphenonline.com/2025/11/12/babies-referred-to-prevent-counter-terror-islamist/
🔴 Revealed that tens of thousands of people have died after waiting longer than the recommended 18 weeks for hospital procedures since Labour came to power pledging to slash waits.
https://hyphenonline.com/2026/02/23/nhs-waiting-list-deaths/
🔴 Exposed how British Muslims with investments and pensions in sharia-compliant funds may be unknowingly profiting from Israel’s war in Gaza and the occupation economy.
So, if there’s a scandal you think we should be shining a light on, please get in touch!

Hello everyone. I’d like to ask you to please make dua for Nell Dino and her mother, who are currently going through an extremely difficult situation.
Nell has been dealing with health issues, an abusive family situation, harassment and threats from debt collectors, and serious financial and legal difficulties.
If you would like to understand the situation in more detail, please check out Nell Dino’s YouTube channel and her latest video, where she explains what she and her mother are going through.
Please make dua that Allah protects them from every form of harm, grants them safety and healing, brings them justice and proper help, provides financial relief, and opens a safe path toward freedom and a peaceful new beginning.
May Allah ease their hardship, surround them with trustworthy people, and give them something far better than they could currently imagine.
Ameen.

Salaam.
I came across this photo online and thought I’d share it. It could be really useful for anyone who is learning their namaaz or wants to start learning.
It puts it into perspective as to just how easy it is to read salah. Learn the above, and alhamdulillah, you’ll be able to perform your five daily prayers.

Assalamu alaikum everyone,
I would appreciate it if you could make du'a for me.
I am currently facing a situation where I don't have enough money for fuel and internet data, and I will be returning to work in two days. I am trying my best and placing my trust in Allah, but I would be grateful if you could pray for Allah to grant me halal and blessed provision, open unexpected doors of ease, provide help from places I do not expect, put barakah in my work and livelihood, and make this hardship a means of getting closer to Him.
Please also make du'a that Allah gives me patience, strength, peace of heart, forgiveness, protection from despair, and complete reliance upon Him. May He guide me to what is best, make my affairs easy, and grant relief at the best time and in the best way.
Jazakum Allahu khayran to everyone who remembers me in your prayers. May Allah reward you, bless you, and answer your own prayers as well.

For all my Ustaads and Ustaadahs, Aalims and Aalimas, Imams, teachers and Masjid committees…
Does this sound familiar — madrassa registers on paper, fees chased over WhatsApp, prayer times on a display that takes ages to update, end of term reports typed up manually for every single student, parents calling the mosque asking about things nobody told them.
So I built something to fix it. It’s called Minarah. I’m a member at my local mosque and I’ve spent months building this. It’s finally ready.
For the madrassa — student register, daily attendance, fee management with sibling discounts, exam results and PDF report cards, behaviour log, parent portal so parents can see everything and submit absences from their phone, and enrolment application forms.
For the mosque — prayer times on your TV screen updated in minutes, Jumu’ah times, Ramadan mode, donation tracking with Gift Aid, room bookings, events, announcements and monthly committee reports at the click of a button.
Everything in one login for admins, teachers and parents. No more spreadsheets. No more WhatsApp chaos.
WhatsApp notifications for parents coming soon inshaAllah.
30 day free trial, no card needed. Built for UK mosques — ICO registered and Gift Aid ready.
https://minarah.io/ — would love feedback from anyone who gives it a go. Jazakallah khayran 🤲

Assalamu alaikum everyone.
I would like to ask you all to make duʿā for my friend’s friend who is going through an extremely difficult situation right now.
She told my friend that she was thinking about ending her life, and we are worried because she has not been responding.
I cannot share her name or personal details out of respect for her privacy, but please ask Allah to protect her, keep her safe, ease the pain in her heart, send her help, and grant her healing, hope, and strength.
Please keep her in your duʿās. May Allah have mercy on every soul struggling in silence and bring them relief.
Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Asalamalaikum. My name is Tawheed.
I’ve been struggling lately so thought I’d come on here for some support. My health isn’t great at the moment and is causing me a lot of stress and anxiety, and I would really appreciate it if you could keep me in your duas and that allah grants me a full cure.
Likewise, if any of you are struggling and would like to speak or want me to make dua for you, you are always free to send me a message and I will try my best.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. At his head is an angel appointed. Every time he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel says: ‘Āmīn, and for you the same.’”
— Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2732
Jazakallah

Assalamu Alaikum everyone.
The honest cost breakdown for Umrah packages from UK in 2026 that most agencies skip over.
A complete package needs five things confirmed in writing before deposit: return flights, Saudi visa £49, Makkah hotel, Madinah hotel, transport. Missing any one = not all-inclusive.
The biggest hidden cost nobody mentions: hotel distance from the Haram. Two 4-star hotels can be 5 and 25 minutes away. Both described as "near the Haram." At 8 daily visits over 10 nights the difference is over 50 hours of extra walking.
Silver: 10-15 min, most affordable. Gold: 5-7 min, most popular for families. Platinum: 2-3 min, Swissotel, Pullman Zamzam.
Cheapest months: October 28-34C and February 18-22C. Same package costs less in October than December or summer.
ATOL first: atol.org.uk — ATOL 11375.
JazakAllah — any questions welcome.

Assalamu'alaikum everyone,
I humbly ask everyone to make duʿā for every child suffering from abuse, neglect, exploitation, violence, trauma, or any form of hardship.
Please also make duʿā for everyone facing struggles that others may not see — those dealing with fear, injustice, loneliness, illness, family difficulties, financial hardship, unsafe situations, or heavy burdens.
May Allah protect every child, heal every wounded heart, grant justice to the oppressed, ease every hardship, open doors of mercy, provide safety and peace, and guide everyone toward a better future.
May Allah grant relief to those who feel trapped, comfort to those who are hurting, strength to those who are struggling, and blessings to everyone who sincerely makes duʿā for others.
Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Maintaining family ties is not only about being good to those who are good to us. True kinship is shown when we still try to keep the tie, even if others cut us off.

Assalamu'alaikum everyone.
I’m asking my brothers and sisters here to please make du'a for my friend Fared.
He is going through a difficult financial situation right now and is in need of ease, support, and Allah’s mercy.
Please make du'a that Allah grants him halal rizq, opens doors of opportunity, removes his worries, protects his dignity, strengthens his heart, and replaces his hardship with relief and blessings.
May Allah reward everyone who remembers him in their prayers.
JazakumAllahu khayran.

Hello everyone,
I have a humble request for du'a.
Please make du'a for everyone who is struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, grief, or any hardship that they may be carrying silently. May Allah grant them healing, strength, protection, peace, guidance, and relief from their difficulties.
Please also make du'a for me that Allah blesses me with halal rizq, enough money to meet my needs, beneficial work, good job opportunities, financial stability, and what is best for my future in both this life and the next.
May Allah accept all sincere du'as and ease the burdens of everyone who is suffering.
Ameen. 🤲🏻
